Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 8968612 United States 02/10/2013 01:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well it's a digital camera, chances are that's a glitch on one of the microprocessor chips, you know? The thing's basically a mini-computer Quoting: Anonymous Coward 904314 nope, not possible...not after tens of thousands of pictures, it's been 5 years and I'm still using the same camera (re-read my original post)....but I said I wasn't going to argue...so...... |
Dr. Acula Senior Forum Moderator User ID: 286081 United States 02/10/2013 01:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Alright my pic is of trees and the warp effect is going on. yours has a more complete circle/fish eye effect going on... but the bending of the forest is there... My before and after picture had no such bending... Its cos when you took the pic you moved the camera just enough to have the bending effect captured. Thats what caused mine... and i'd assume thats what caused yours... Mine was by accident I'd say it has to do with the light conditions which are the same in my pic... and the focus trying to grasp on to the vertical trees and becoming for lack of a better term... "comfused" [link to postimage.org] I uploaded it as a custom smilie... but you can see it faster in the link above Here it is as a custom smilie :benttreesacula13: Last Edited by Dr. Acula on 02/10/2013 01:31 PM _______________________ |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 8968612 United States 02/10/2013 01:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just offering suggests, no worries. It looks like a post-processing effect is what I am tryin to say, you know? There's a gimp/photoshop filter that does exactly what your pictures show, so I speculate that somehow something like that happened on the camera itself, especially if it's 5 years old! That's pretty ancient for technology heh Quoting: Anonymous Coward 904314 LOL! No not ancient.....the camera is still being sold today...and the body only without a lens still costs over a thousand dollars. [link to www.amazon.com] |

"comfused" [link to postimage.org] I uploaded it as a custom smilie... but you can see it faster in the link above Thanks for the pic. I can see a slight resemblance, however, the "matter" that shows in the black and white picture is definitely not present on yours. I think this is certainly a viable explanation though...thanks again |

I think this is certainly a viable explanation though...thanks again yeah there are differences. But I think the reason my pic is distorted is the same as yours. and the "matter" you describe is just the 'motion trail' of the objects... rocks, trees, etc etc being highlighted with the B&W filter. your welcome Last Edited by Dr. Acula on 02/10/2013 02:08 AM _______________________ |
