As I told you the last time that isn't the Sun, that is the Sun's corona.
Which is rather dynamic, it changes all the time.

And you can't see it from any rooftop unless there's a total eclipse.

You guys make humans look bad. The sun is going through solar maximum as it does every 12 years. We are also entering a period known as Maunder minimum, a period of 50-100 years when the sun isn't as active as it should be, and it is a cause of the snow storms you see. The last Maunder minimum took place in 1600's and caused a mini- ice age.

The change is solar system wide, not just limited to the earth and sun.
