If you have 1 OZ of gravity and 1 OZ of light, they will both weigh the same.

you are wrong and here's why:

Gravity is a force (a weak one to be precice) foeces have no mass, therefore cannot itself have any weight and cannot be "heavy"

Now light is another matter, it has particles (photons) unfortunately this gets a little more complax as these particular particles are said to be massless. Instead they have a reletive mass (p = mrelv) more info [link to math.ucr.edu]

As you are probably aware, light can be seen to be affected by gravity (gravitational lensing). So my guess would be that it must have some form of mass to be affected by gravity and mass + gravity = weight

Light is heavier

Re: What is Heavier, Gravity or Light?
As long gravity is a concept and not a matter it can't have weight

So for the light made with the subtle particles of matter have no measurable weight neither...

both the same. zero mass.
That is the carrier of gravity, higgs boson. if it really does exist. which i still think they've yet to prove.

both mass ZERO.

Re: What is Heavier, Gravity or Light?
OP I have had another thought on this one....

As at least one of the options (Gravity) cannot possibly have mass due to being a force, then one cannot logically be heavier than the other as it does not have a value assosiated with it to compare to.

Photons do not have mass but they do have momentum, and fit into the special reletivity catagory

UH-HEM! GRAVITY!!!! Black holes, no light escapes a black hole, very heavy gravity on a black hole. Just making an obvious observation.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34064688

The force of gravity is a consequence of curved space time. Space time is deformed by energy density not mass. Mass however contains allot of energy and as such curves space time. Because of this gravity it itself does not posses the property known as weight.

Light has no rest mass mass (it does not stay still), but does contain energy. So I would say light is heavier than gravity since gravity does not posses the property of weight.
