Alot of people, esp. Yankies like to think that the civil war was just about keeping slaves when in reality, that notion could not be further from the truth. The civil war was mostly about tax increases on everything comming in or out of the southern states and everything sold down here, (yes including slaves). Also, alot of people forget that the pilgrims ran away from england to come here to keep their liqour from bieng taxes unfairly. |

The people up North were becoming demoralized by all the dead young people being returned home to them. The war was not supposed to be a long one. The war was initially started because of some new taxes/tariffs being shoved down the throats of the South......plus issues relating to the settling of the new western territories. |

My kids have learned in elementary and middle school that Lincoln practically walked on water and is just a hero, that he freed the slaves, bla bla bla. This is NY state. The Constitution favored a strong local/state government and a weak central government. The framers had just finished a long war with such a government.....namely England. Robert E. They have the atom bomb.” So are Parker and former Gov Earl Long both indicating they believe the US would actually use an atom bomb on its own people? What they mean is the feds will order sent to your state standing up nuclear waste shipped in like from Kuwait and foreign lands to kill off your state people or at least make them high birth defects and ruin your health care state paid for.Like all the nuclear waste shipped into independent Idaho from U.S. Ecology via the U.S. Alabama ship.
