Hi everyone.. Great thread. Today is a month since I have been Paxil free for the first time in 17 years. I was on 80mg a day which is a crazy dosage anyway. I went against my doctor's advice and tapered off - took about 2 months. Again - today is a month being Paxil free. The withdrawl was so bad - I thought of suicide daily. Besides the head zaps and wanting to kill myself, I had and am still having physical side effects that almost caused me to die. I am 41. I cannot imagine a child or teenager going off these meds without understanding what happens to your body/mind. SSRIs are scary stuff. I almost DIED going off Paxil but I pressed on because I knew it was part of the withdrawl. Big Pharma is all about mind control and money. I am not depressed or suicidal anymore - the reasons I was put on SSRIs in college. Sorry for going on - I feel something has to be done. I am lucky to here today to write this post. I pray for anyone trying to go off these toxic meds.. Thanks for listening and for this website. It helped me in my darkest hours. I hope this is not a thread killer - I just had to post because today is my month anniversary of being Paxil free and I am very concerned about these drugs getting prescribed like candy for made up mental diseases.. poster, when able, start detoxing by cardio. Sweat is best for detoxing. Also, cardio makes the heart release special chemicals to revitalize the body. the only way they get released or produced too. Don't know your age or abilities, but jogging or hiking is best for this. And drink a lot of water to flush out liver. the liver will fix itself if allowed, more than any other organ unless scarring has set in.
