The silence from most of the Christian world is deafening as well. Abuse of women and children, especially by "pastors", is rampant in all denominations. There is precious little difference in the behavior of these so-called Christian leaders and those of Islam. And the overt teaching of women's subjugation, blame for men's sin, and intrinsic sub-human status is gaining ground. If Christianity wanted to be truly "counter-cultural", they'd be champions of women's rights and equal treatment in all spheres of life.
