China has been beefing up it`s armed forces for a long time now.Everyone talks about how the USA spends 400 billion a year on the military and China spends 20 billion a year on theirs but you`ve got to understand that most of what the US spends goes to salaries,benefits, and pensions.Most of China`s budget goes straight to hardware and the conscripts get peanuts.Personally I have a nagging feeling that China has a secret pact with Russia,they`ve been buying a lot of high end military equipment from them and both have many similar interests at stake such as Syria,Iran, and both have disputed ownership claims with Japan over islands that Japan occupies.If Russia and China are in it together then everything`s going,Taiwan,Korea and Japan.And they may see the weak leadership of Obama as a prime time to strike. I hope it doesn`t happen because even with NATO I think Russia and China have the upper hand.Much like the US during WW2 China has a huge industrial complex they can switch over to military production and Russia has a very formidable military with the brains China lacks in producing high tech military equipment. With the USA`s perceived bullying tactics, and our attitude towards the rest of the world of do as i say but not as i do,the east may just be chomping at the bit to take a bite out of our ass.

Just no. The US has a monopoly on the creation of both dollar bills and T-bonds. If China dumped their T-bonds, the Federal Reserve would simply move their dollars from a securities account ("savings account") to a reserve account ("checking account"), the money has to go in one or the other and Uncle Sam (working through Treasury and the Fed) can always make more of one to exchange for the other. The Fed would scoop up every T-bond China dumps with dollars it creates out of thin air, no fuss no muss.

If we go to war, Tsy will simply seize both of China's Fed accounts as well as any of its stock and bond market holdings. Essentially the first $2 trillion Uncle Sam spends on any war with China has alrady been prepaid by China.

Can someone from Japan say how it is in his country? Any visible military mobilization?

It's going to be china and north korea, vs japan south korea and vietnam.

If China sold their US bonds, it would be like yelling fire in a crowded movie theater, the first one out is most likely to survive. How many trillion of dollars are held in reserve for purposes of international trade across the world?

If they circumnavigate the dollar as the international reserve currency, as in all international bills of credit are denominated in dollars, dollars will become worthless to them, it would far better for them to hold gold. And oh yeah, China has been buying gold with both fists.

Think how much inflation we have passed off onto the rest of the world by inflating our currency base to keep this exponential debt binge for the past 30 years alive? Without an overseas demand for dollars (for trade) we have to eat all that inflation from our government's reckless spending not to mention endemic fraud in the banking system.

Add the re-patriotization of all dollars from overseas (tens of trillions) and the exponentially increasing amount of debt here to just run the government (not even counting some 200 trillion in entitlement promises) and you get a burnt to crisp dollar bill that is worthless in purchasing power.

USA will do what it has to in order to back Japan 100%.

I can't say for sure, but I think that something like that may well take place.

Any war with Japan (by China) will be staged, and done with perfect timing so that when the 'event' hits that puts most of Japan into the ocean (read sacrifice, to save the planet) the Chinese will cease hostilities, and take in all the millions of refugees, to the awaiting cities already built to house them. (ghost cities)

The Japanese are currently drilling the deepest holes in the planet around their shores, off the ridge the island chain are the top of. Setting off plate movement via mini nukes? Gurgle, gurgle....

The islands of dispute are a stupid 'reason' to build up a plausible deniability.

The US will be creating their own deniability with regards what happens when the sink hole in Assumption Parish 'goes National'.

Changes ahead, likely as OP said, resulting in new 'blocks' of countries forming open alliances.

But the same old factions will be behind them....

China rarely if ever directly attacks western interests and countries, they've done some invasion stuff here and there but only in countries that they are under their own sphere of influence, Chinese are one of the few ancient peoples still around, they're not stupid, they're patient and they got numbers and time on their side and they know it, they'll just wait for the inevitable collapse of western and Japanese economies and then make their moves, the nuke talk is completely out of reality, no chance for a direct war with US right now imho.

second what you wrote is my view of the world, there will be no ww3 for sure, US and china have to much at stake (trade wise) to fight each other. I do see US and China working together BUT the US may not allow japan to be taken.

So i do see china taking taiwan, and even fucking over NK. While china gives the go ahead to attack iran,syria.

Russia is a cog in the wheel when it comes to iran BUT will not be able to stop the US if China gives the ok.

In 10 years time i see US and China becoming strong allies and europe and russia being left out forcing them to become allies against this new friendship.

A War so great and bloody it will scare their eyes wide open.

^this. i know china is a rising power, and japan is a falling power, but the reality is they're about equal militarily and economically and japan has considerable edges in both aerial and naval theatres, while china has the edge on land. this will be a naval/aerial war, so japan will win. also, even if japan loses, if china tries to invade or attack the jap homeland the US will easily be able to stop that and cripple china without nukes.
