This is why we have a legal system. This is what separates us from them...who ever they may be. Because you my friends get to stand before a jury of your peers and spew your guts out and we get to hear it. This is why we have people who go out and collect evidence to prove guilt or innocence. Than your ass can go to jail or out the back door with a sift bullet to your head if the crime fits. This group of cops or what ever are not judge and jury. We left that shit behind a long time ago.

I don't support him but I do support a system that does not let a bully gang say whatever the shit they want about me, exterminate me, and who knows how many other innocent citizens with their bigshot military type toys above our heads on "OUR" soil.

No you my friend at the top are the ME ME ME generation. It's all about you isn't it. Not the crime, not the man, not the system, not the innocent people, not even the CONSTITUTION.

Drone Home

2/11/13

snip

The military logic couldn't be clearer. Unlike, say, cruise missiles, which have to be laboriously targeted and prepped and launched over a period of hours, drones are a persistent presence over the battlefield, gathering their own intelligence and then providing an instantaneous response. They represent a revolution in the idea of what combat is: with drones the U.S. can exert force not only instantly but undeterred by the risk of incurring American casualties or massive logistical bills, and without the terrestrial baggage of geography; the only relevant geography is that of the global communications grid. In the words of Peter Singer, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and the author of Wired for War: The Robotics Revolution and Conflict in the 21st Century, drones change "everything from tactics to doctrine to overall strategy to how leaders, the media and the public all conceptualize and decide upon this thing we call war."

Having transformed war, drones are getting ready to transform peace. A year ago Obama ordered the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to expedite the process of integrating "unmanned aerial vehicles," as drones are primly referred to within the trade, into civilian airspace. Police departments will use them to study crime scenes. Farmers will use them to watch their fields. Builders will use them to survey construction sites. Hollywood will use them to make movies. Hobbyists will use them just because they feel like it. Drones are an enormously powerful, disruptive technology that rewrites rules wherever it goes. Now the drones are coming home to roost.

If those drones can save one hard working cops life I'm all for it.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17972344

Anyone working in law enforcement has chosen to accept the jeopardy their lives are put in willingly. They consider these risks acceptable and merely an occupational hazard. They are compensated for the risks they take and are willing to accept. They feel equipped both mentally and physically to take these risks. They accept the risk/reward ratio. If they do not feel that way they should not be in law enforcement. They also have the option of walking away and leaving the law enforcement field at any point in time. While their safety is a consideration as most would not like to live in complete anarchy, it should not jeopardize the safety of citizens whose safety they are supposed to be protecting to begin with. Neither should it infringe on their freedoms, privacy or quality of life. Citizens have not willingly chosen to take on the same risks as an occupational hazard. They are not compensated financially for accepting these risks, loss of freedoms and quality of life. Even if they were many would not be willing to accept them. Citizens do not have the same option of walking away. Citizens are just as hard working as law enforcement officers are and their safety and rights should be just as much of a priority. If NOT allowing the use of drones saves just one hard working innocent citizens life and preserves their quality of life ,I'm all for it.

Re: ARMED Drones To Be Used In Search For And Killing Of Rouge Cop Killer Christopher Dorner - So It Begins
I fear that far too many people really have little to no clue of the implications.

This doesn't simply mean that LE now has such extensive resources to hunt for 'bad guys".

It means that an American citizen can now be accused of absolutely anything and subsequently be tracked and hunted via remotely operated flying robots developed for the battlefield.

You couple this with tracking on your phone, through your On-Star or related service in your vehicle, via public camera systems such as "traffic cams" (each with specific GPS coordinates), tapping into any number of public or private "security cameras" (each with specific GPS coordinates), and the up and coming "Chip". Even more so, the renewal of NDAA and the later opinions that the American citizen can be named as "terrorist" for most any trumped up reasoning begins to add the serious gravity to the current situation.

Sure, you can leave the phone, not drive the vehicle equipped with the On-Star type service, and refuse the "Chip", but the general public has been programmed to accept being constantly recorded and photographed/ filmed under the guise of "For your safety, of course".

Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pt, Hitler, Mussolini, Castro-

What would any of these prior dictators given for even a glimpse of such opportunity to quell any dissension or disagreement. If you think people are reserved in expressing their thoughts now inf fear of "offending some person, group, or organization... You just want until it sets in that something you said in passing, any demonstration or protest you participate in, your visit to any number of events or establishments, or even a posting on a forum such as this becomes eligible to generate a very real threat not only on yourself, but on your family as well.

This is bad, and I fear not enough emphasis or understanding is being applied to it.
Job 12:7) But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
8) Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.

It is certainly more than coincidental that the name
Dorner and
Drone"r" are anagrams of each other.

Very interesting, indeed!!!

You know what scares the poop outta me is that we already have lunatic cops shooting innocent people because the officers thought they were "suspicious" -
Who in the WORLD is manning these "drones" and will they shoot whatever seems 'suspicious?'

Yah - that bothers me highly!

 Quoting: *HAARP Lady*

At least with the cops on the streets you can fairly easily identify who screwed up. With drones the public will never know who pulled the trigger.

.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 961432

Exactly - I still think what I "thunk" before - I wonder if there really IS a "Dorner" - just like I wonder if there really was an "Adam Lanza". I believe this whole situation is just to do a "trial run" of the drones - and of course, they have to make the person they are hunting a truly "terrible" person so that the sheeple public will give their full consent!

No - Not me! Those "sheeple" who believe this will someday be faced with what they have so long denied - the imminent demise of freedom as we once knew it.

I don't care what anyone says - after researching this whole story - it smacks of a Psyop/False Flag.

Let's not forget about the black boxes in cars.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it will require all new U.S. vehicles to have black boxes by Sept. 1, 2014, noting that 96 percent of 2013 models already come with them standard. The new proposal does not change the 15 types of data black boxes should record when it senses a crash.

What exactly do you do with a target? You shoot it, kill it, destroy it, etc. This is not simply a drone man hunt...otherwise it would say they would simply be used to locate him.

Re: ARMED Drones To Be Used In Search For And Killing Of Rouge Cop Killer Christopher Dorner - So It Begins
What could go wrong: Police state Christopher Dorner Is Now a Target for Drones

The Express quotes a “senior police source” as having said:

The thermal imaging cameras the drones use may be our only hope of finding him. On the ground, it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Riverside Police Chief Sergio Diaz, a joint leader of the force tasked with finding Dorner, has confirmed—though not explicitly—and is quoted as saying “We are using all the tools at our disposal.” And a third, vague conformation comes from Customs and Border Patrol spokesman Ralph DeSio who is quoted as saying the agency is on the “forefront of domestic use of drones by law enforcement,” while declining to elaborate further.

Should armed drones actually be authorized to fire on Dorner, then it would be a first, and frankly a terrifying precedent.
