upon receiving their heavenly resurrection, God also grants immortality to Christ Jesus and those who will rule in heaven with him

..in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, during the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised up incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this which is corruptible must put on incorruption, and this which is mortal must put on immortality- 1 Corinthians 15:52,53

that doesn't sound so immortal does it?

Re: Are Angels immortal?
All angelic beings are immortal, they cannot be murdered and they do not need food. Adam and Eve were eternal beings, as long as they ate they would remain alive. Men become immortal when the 1,000 year reign starts.
In the new earth (Isa:65) men are given immortality when they reach 120 years, they also stop having children when they reach that age.

M't:22:30:
For in the resurrection they neither marry,
nor are given in marriage,
but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Death for an immortal being is being sent to the lake and being aware you are there.

Immortality means having life within oneself, not dependent on God- Jude 1:6 tells us the angels that sinned await eternal cutting off-death- which means spirit creatures are not immortal

Adam and Eve died, not because they quit eating, but when they disobeyed God

Is the soul immortal?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25196431

"And to Adam he said: “Because you listened to your wife’s voice and took to eating from the tree concerning which I gave you this command, ‘You must not eat from it,’ cursed is the ground on your account. In pain you will eat its produce all the days of your life. 18 And thorns and thistles it will grow for you, and you must eat the vegetation of the field. 19 In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.” Ge3:17

Of course they are immortal. Have you not seen the movie "City of Angels" with Meg Ryan and Nicholas Cage? Cage is an angel and he gives up his immortality to be a mortal human so he can love Ryan.

You seem so sure!

That may takes a hell whole lot of time before that ever happens cause according to scriptures, no one knows the time. Maybe once Satan and co. are done messing with human cattle. God will probably provide them some new toys though.

Re: Are Angels immortal?
here is the story.

light and dark coexist by chemical bondage
the essence of both is essentially "god"
they are just messengers as all things are
everything has a function
good and bad are programmed thought process to keep you in a certain predicable control group

there only is BEING
even if something takes form from being to doing it is still being in motion

but as a self defense mechanism form and function co exist by consent not dominance... but imbalance brings correction

so yes, angels, demons, US , god everything is immortal. There is no separation, there is only programmed laws of attraction

hydrogen and helium can tell you a lot about how we are all connected... it is time to understand that the real lie is separation ...

 Quoting: Gigolo Jesus

That's Jehovah's reward to the 'first fruits' of the 144,000 invited to heaven to serve as assistant kings with Jesus. Like Jesus they are granted immortality;
" However, this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit God’s kingdom, neither does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Look! I tell YOU a sacred secret: We shall not all fall asleep [in death], but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, during the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised up incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this which is corruptible must put on incorruption, and this which is mortal must put on immortality. 54 But when [this which is corruptible puts on incorruption and] this which is mortal puts on immortality, then the saying will take place that is written: “Death is swallowed up forever.” 55 “Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?” 1Cor15:50

That depends on your understanding of time.
"Those who would sacrifice freedom for security deserve neither"
--Benjamin Franlkin

No one ever said freedom was safe. Upon true understanding of the concepts of freedom, you shall realize that freedom is the most dangerous choice of lifestyle. There are no guarantees in freedom but those one provides for themselves, at their own will. True freedom comes with extreme personal risk. Are you willing to take the risk?

" and of Christ Jesus, who as a witness made the fine public declaration before Pontius Pilate, I give you orders 14 that you observe the commandment in a spotless and irreprehensible way until the manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 This [manifestation] the happy and only Potentate will show in its own appointed times, [he] the King of those who rule as kings and Lord of those who rule as lords, 16 the one alone having immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom not one of men has seen or can see. To him be honor and might everlasting. Amen." 1Ti6;13

Re: Are Angels immortal?
they are not mortal like we are mortal. They do not have cycles of birth and death as we have as they do not have physical bodies. But they do learn and they do evolve, or grow in the same way that we grow and they grow by their interaction with us.

They do have their cycles . The Gabriel of Jesus times has grown, is not quite the same Gabriel as these times. There is a lot more wisdom for these times. What was appropriate for those times may not be appropriate for these times. An example would be 'doing sacrifices'.

They are not allknowing and all present. Only the supreme being is that. Only the supreme love is that. And this belongs to all religions and came before all religions.

for example What was the religion of Jesus? He was not a christian. what was the religion of Mary. She was not a Christian. what was the religion of Buddha. he was not Buddhist.

What is the religion of Angels?? none. So why are there religions. and why do they hate and fight each other?

Who are they listening to?

Why are they so deaf?
