OP

what did you see ? I don't really believe in ghouls and goblins
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29171399

Well it began at a party I was teasing someone about a party favor. A Ouija board to be specific....

Family members were at the party I walked over to the board and took it out and said let me show you how real demons are and proceed to chant and mock at the board and said something to the effect if you are here show yourself and posses us..

brother let me tell you that has been the biggest mistake of my life.

I was using my phone the next day but all my calls would hang up so I thought it was my phone. I picked up another phone and tied again..same thing exept when it hung up I hear a shrill voice talking in a language I didnt understand...

my blood ran cold and I began to sweat immediately and begane to walk randomly around...

I was at the airport...

the next two weeks my family had tragic things happen to the point most of them were suicidal including myself I was ready to throw in the towel today when I hit my kness in prayer and begged jesus to get this thing away from me and my family...

its real it happened.

Geeeeez Phoenix - a Ouija board - didn't I ever tell you don't mess with those darn things - I told everyone else I know - you have just proven to me, something I knew - thankyou - I love you - surrounding you and yours in the violet flame.

Re: I Prayed Today
Psalm 69 - The cry of David

1 Save me, O God,
for the waters have come up to my neck.
2 I sink in the miry depths,
where there is no foothold.
I have come into the deep waters;
the floods engulf me.
3 I am worn out calling for help;
my throat is parched.
My eyes fail,
looking for my God.
4 Those who hate me without reason
outnumber the hairs of my head;
many are my enemies without cause,
those who seek to destroy me.
I am forced to restore
what I did not steal.

5 You, God, know my folly;
my guilt is not hidden from you.

6 Lord, the Lord Almighty,
may those who hope in you
not be disgraced because of me;
God of Israel,
may those who seek you
not be put to shame because of me.
7 For I endure scorn for your sake,
and shame covers my face.
8 I am a foreigner to my own family,
a stranger to my own mother’s children;
9 for zeal for your house consumes me,
and the insults of those who insult you fall on me.
10 When I weep and fast,
I must endure scorn;
11 when I put on sackcloth,
people make sport of me.
12 Those who sit at the gate mock me,
and I am the song of the drunkards.

13 But I pray to you, Lord,
in the time of your favor;
in your great love, O God,
answer me with your sure salvation.
14 Rescue me from the mire,
do not let me sink;
deliver me from those who hate me,
from the deep waters.
15 Do not let the floodwaters engulf me
or the depths swallow me up
or the pit close its mouth over me.

16 Answer me, Lord, out of the goodness of your love;
in your great mercy turn to me.
17 Do not hide your face from your servant;
answer me quickly, for I am in trouble.
18 Come near and rescue me;
deliver me because of my foes.

19 You know how I am scorned, disgraced and shamed;
all my enemies are before you.
20 Scorn has broken my heart
and has left me helpless;
I looked for sympathy, but there was none,
for comforters, but I found none.
21 They put gall in my food
and gave me vinegar for my thirst.

22 May the table set before them become a snare;
may it become retribution and a trap.
23 May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see,
and their backs be bent forever.
24 Pour out your wrath on them;
let your fierce anger overtake them.
25 May their place be deserted;
let there be no one to dwell in their tents.
26 For they persecute those you wound
and talk about the pain of those you hurt.
27 Charge them with crime upon crime;
do not let them share in your salvation.
28 May they be blotted out of the book of life
and not be listed with the righteous.

29 But as for me, afflicted and in pain—
may your salvation, God, protect me.

30 I will praise God’s name in song
and glorify him with thanksgiving.
31 This will please the Lord more than an ox,
more than a bull with its horns and hooves.
32 The poor will see and be glad—
you who seek God, may your hearts live!
33 The Lord hears the needy
and does not despise his captive people.

34 Let heaven and earth praise him,
the seas and all that move in them,
35 for God will save Zion
and rebuild the cities of Judah.
Then people will settle there and possess it;
36 the children of his servants will inherit it,
and those who love his name will dwell there.

Psalm 23:1

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

For he has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?

He that has clean hands, and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

I'm so happy Phoenix that you have accepted Jesus into your heart! Just remember that when the enemy attacks you, remember this verse, You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1John 4:4 The song below, recites these words, greater is he that is in me then he that is in the world. I hope this song will give you strength and courage in your new Christian life!

Luke 13:10-17 King James Version (KJV)

Jesus heals a womens crooked back. (This will blow your mind once we break it down)

10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.

11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.

12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.

15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?

16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

17 And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

--------------------------------------------------------

When Jesus said "This daughter of Abraham" he didn't mean a literal daughter but someone who had great faith. Abraham had great faith.

And because of her faith Jesus ignored the crowds around him and turned his attention on her.

When you have faith in God you immediately pop up on his Radar.

Re: I Prayed Today
Yeah sometimes we have to be waist deep in doo-doo before we begin to realize just how real the spiritual realm is.

Not long before I gave my life to Jesus I was stranded out in the wilderness of New Mexico and Colorado, and my girlfriend at the time failed to show up for a few days after my agreed hook up.

I got worried about her and that one night I prayed in Jesus name. When I slept I had this intense dream where I saw here talking to a car mechanic holding a rubber hose.

She showed up the next day, her car had broken down and that hose had to be ordered from out of state. Took a few days to arrive.

That was just the start of many proofs that revealed the Bible is Gods revealed word. It's also why the devil is reluctant to reveal himself at times, because some open their eyes and turn to their savior when the darkness is overwhelming.
With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible

But even if its not, meh, it lets Christians like me really dig in and subvert whatever possible ploys someone like OP might be up too? If he is, I'm sayinz. Like a pre-emptive strike and shit. Don't matter really. Really cynical I know, but when you fight demons all you're life, can't help but be cynical.

Now too further elaborate on that.

Genesis 3

King James Version (KJV)

3 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.

9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

-------------------------------------------------------

When they allowed sin too enter their life they fell from grace and the second that happened.

Poof.

God could no longer find them.

And that's amazing because God knows everything.

The darkness engulfed them even before they were dead.

That's what happens when we loose faith. Darkness surrounds us even if we cannot see it.

My brother told me that one time when he was with our cousin they got drunk and my cousin started getting angry cause one of his friends died recently. They decided to go upstairs away from the others who were playing beer pong I think and pray. Anyway, my brother started praying and my cousin suddenly started squeezing my brothers head as hard as he could, as if he was trying to stop him from praying. As soon as my brother ended his prayer with "Amen", the squeezing stopped and my cousin wondered what just happened. Afterwords, they were both felt a sense of happiness and peace.

I think God doesn't want you to just put aside your brain when you become more spiritual. He wants us to reason with us and wants us to understand why the things that go on around our world.

Isaiah 1:18

they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool.

That's not correct. Why try to complicate matters?

Of course God knew where Adam was, just like He knew where Abel was after Cain killed him. When God asks a question it's just to test people in their responses, not because He doesn't know the answer.

Just like Jesus asking if the baptism of John was from heaven or from man. Do you think He didn't know the answer?

Don't you understand that you are injecting error into your post?

Luke 15:11-32

The Parable of the Lost Son

11 Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them.

13 “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. 14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.

17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father.

“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.

25 “Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. 27 ‘Your brother has come,’ he replied, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’

28 “The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. 29 But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’

31 “‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”

That's what happens when we loose faith. Darkness surrounds us even if we cannot see it.

Test or no test. God still had too ask. And that's bad enough I would think.

If I am wrong I stand corrected lol

Okay I took a shower and meditated on my thoughts on this one.

What I really meant too convey was that that relationship between God and man was a paradox.

Because God knows everything and man knows only a finite amount of knowledge and truth.

So the best way too approach God as a man is with faith and with faith alone God bestows upon you knowledge.

Sorry for the earlier post I was rushing without choosing my words carefully.

Glad to see you're still around.
No one has ever seen a perfect circle, nor a perfectly straight line, yet everyone knows what a circle and a straight line are.
Perceived circles or lines are not exactly circular or straight, and true circles and lines could never be detected since by definition they are sets of infinitely small points.

When they allowed sin too enter their life they fell from grace and the second that happened.

Poof.

God could no longer find them.

Well, I didn't consider it a big deal. I only mentioned it because it didn't seem to add anything to the topic at hand ;)

Re: I Prayed Today
As an atheist for many years I had to take some time on bended knee today. Within a few hours the prayer was answered.

I don't fully understand the mechanics but I will certainly say Thanks to Jesus. I guess some things aren't meant to be understood.

Now just avoid the church and you will be fine. One on one with God is all you need.

Amen Friend...!!!!

GOD is real and so is HIS Son Jesus Christ.

He showed Himself mighty to me also. It is a life changing experience. It was very humbling in a good way. I am proud of you.

None of us has deserved or earned grace in any way. GOD is good.

Draw near to HIM and HE will draw near to you.

You have a testimony.

Amen

Re: I Prayed Today
Atheists are SMARTER then Christians FACT.

...the authors found that atheists scored 6 IQ points higher than non atheists.

... atheists scored an average of 1.95 IQ points higher than agnostics, 3.82 points higher than liberal persuasions, and 5.89 IQ points higher than dogmatic persuasions.

... studies do nevertheless correlate IQ with being willing or able to question beliefs

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

so i have to say...I think christian's are unable to question there beliefs, due to being of a LOWER IQ then Athiests.

So basically, it's not your fault you have your silly beliefs...you can't help it!
