When we get elevated raptured ascend gathered what ever you like to call it, we will be shaking a lot of hands who will be congratulating us. It will be a trip ;) You will be fascinated by all the various royalty of Heaven that awaits us to be with them. Think big! real big, now multiply that by a thousand and then multiply that by another thousand times :)

I am also a reformed atheist. For most of my life, I've wanted to believe, but something always prevented it. Which leads me to ask:

Is it true that once you turn to God, someone/something will try to distract you? Because this has happened to me numerous times and this is what kept me turned away from God for most of my life.

Every time I would begin to have a renewed interest in Jesus, without fail, there was something akin to a voice in my mind telling me, "You'll never be a believer, Christianity is fake, Jesus never existed, the Bible is a book of fairy tales," etc. And every time, I would get discouraged and turn my back on God again.

Anyway. I'm back on the path of good, the path of God, and I'm determined to stay strong this time.

Yes you are correct, Read the scriptures, they are spiritual food, ask The Holy Spirit to retain what you read, the enemy in many ways shapes forms and circumstances will try and take your mind and heart of/from YAHshua/Jesus by daily affairs and living. Find praying brethren to support you in your becoming mature in Him, and fast and pray, as well as pray. You will find even a minor fast unto Him, will dispel confusion of mind, amen and blessings with/in Him, as you walk toward the High calling, amen

Bless you, start praying with LisaLisa and goofy(on this forum), they will cover you in His love, and are beautiful sisters in Him, even so work out your salvation by diligent study, and don't get confused or deceived by which Bible is better issue(and i recommend you go here and download this aid, [link to www.e-sword.net] ), also don't be confused by the Sunday vs sabbath day issues, if you believe all days a sabbath days to Him, then that is what they are, of course there a blessings involved for us if we honor Him on the Sabbath day, but don't feel you are thence better than brethren who prefer worship on Sunday, just understand , Sabbath as defined by Him is generally Friday sunset to Saturday sunset, there are variations due to the moon and other things, just remember you are free now in Him and His love, don't allow the legalistic to take that love or freedom from you, this doesn't mean ignore scripture, study it to show yourself approved and also to be able to divide it properly, Let the Holy Spirit minister to you ask YAHshua to fully heal all your hurts and pain, this may mean you get tired sometimes, rest and be healed, love you in Him sister, be ready for He comes as our husband.

I will pray for you as well, the Lord knows your precious heart, so please never doubt Him. These days are exciting as we await Him, just bring EVERYTHING before the Lord in prayer and ask the Holy Spirit to confirm...you will know by receiving 'The peace beyond all understanding'
