What is the speed of thought?
In my mind it is instantaneous. Faster than light, faster than anything.

It just occurred to me that if what they say about the alleged pilots of these UFOs using their minds to control the craft is true, well this would fit nicely with explaining how they can traverse a universe separated by billions if not trillions of light years.

Faster than light travel just might be possible after all. It might simply be a matter of thought.

This is likely due to the complete understanding of the universe perhaps?

The best reaction time in the world is 1/10th of a second from experiencing a stimulus to reacting to it. Signals travel the nerves at the speed of electricity/light so most of the 1/10th must be brain processing speed.

Just shy of 1/10th of a second.

That is not the same thing as thought. That is measuring reaction.

Well, so how did you measure this?
"The world will soon wake up to the reality that everyone is broke and can collect nothing from the bankrupt, who are owed unlimited amounts by the insolvent, who are attempting to make late payments on a bank holiday in the wrong country, with an unacceptable currency, against defaulted collateral, of which nobody is sure who holds title."

I'm not sure that I am but instinctively I feel there might be something there.

Re: What is the speed of thought?
Here is an interesting piece. Although it suggests that thought is in fact not instantaneous it still seems to only pertain to our reaction to stimuli and not thought in and of itself. I wonder if there is a quantum dimension to pure thought which, because of our limited technology and measuring ability, prevents a definitive answer to this question.

Its just perspective and relativity.
The closer something is the faster it appears to be moving.
How much faster does something seem that is within?

I think the correct speed of travel for a neural signal is something like 250mph. In a body the size of ours, however, that signal will travel from head to toe in an instant...
