The One does not return. It just is. Is is is.

The one returns to the illusion of manyness in a continuous evolutionary loop of consciousness. yoda

Lawofone.info for the deep metaphysics, on what oneness truly is, and how we play a role in that grand unity(quantum field of nonlocality). Free will is one hell of a ride, have fun evolving out there my friends.afro

Re: If all things return to the One, where does the One return?
the one doesn't know where it goes when it returns, or even if it returns, because when it returns it is no longer it, it is something else and hence cannot know of itself anything, in such a case. If the one is all-that-is, and it is where it returns to, then it returns nowhere but itself and so that is where it goes.

However, I have the intuition that the one itself does not know the answer to this question, in that does it discontinue and if so what does that actually MEAN for it. And through life itself it explores this question, through us, through whatever life exists in the omniverse.

Is life itself immortal, is the omniverse immortal? I think the omniverse is seeking to find that out.
