"A prominent African cardinal says there is no reason why the next pope couldn't be black, particularly following the election of President Barack Obama.
Cardinal Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson of Ghana is playing an important role in guiding a three-week meeting at the Vatican on the challenges of the Catholic Church in Africa.
At a news conference on Monday, Turkson was asked whether he thought the time was right for a black Pope, especially in light of Obama's election.


Cardinal Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson says there is no reason why the next Pope couldn't be black, particularly following the election of President Barack Obama
'Why not?' Turkson replied. He argued that every man who agrees to be ordained a priest has to be willing to be a Pope, and is given training along the way as bishop and cardinal. 'All of that is part of the package.'
He also noted that former U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan was from Ghana.
'He had problems, but he still did it,' Turkson said. 'And now it is Obama of the United States. And if by divine providence - because the church belongs to God - if God would wish to see a black man also as Pope, thanks be to God!'

Problem is though... true he seems to bit the bill for Peter the Roman...

Except that is not the "King of the North" ... He comes from the SOUTH! He is from Ghana.

Therefore, I think the above scripture could be read in the reverse order. It is telling us that the "King of the North" is the aggressor.

Remember, The Bible tells us that it will be a NORTHERN KINGDOM, that attacks Israel but will fail... this northern Kingdom triggers World War III with this attack, and launches the world into the 7 Years of Tribulation and the rise of the final One World Ruler...

But it will be a King of the South, to engages in battle against this northern Kingdom, condemning it, as well as vocalling coming out against the One World Ruler! But the Northern Kingdom and the One World Ruler will annihilate Vatican City within 3 1/2 years time, and set the One World Ruler upon the Throne of St. Peter in a declaration that this person is a living god. They will then immediately move on Jerusalem.

Nobody seems to consider that the Vatican was trying to AVOID the prophecy LAST time so why would they this time purposefully appoint a black Pope with Peter as his name?

This is a fine line to walk because there are so damned many who won't cross that line to look at possibility. But, it may well be that this die is already cast because everything that needed to be in place to assure success, is now in their places.

What 'people' believe from this point no longer matters. Be it Satan or the NWO or a horrid case of toenail fungus that evolved into a planet conquering conspiracy, matters not. Something... call it wall you will, SOMETHING is clearly afoot here.

But, here we are and we've been primed for this as well. There are those who would follow Obama to the depths of septic tank hell. There are those who would follow others to the same end. We've been thoroughly indoctrinated, fully programmed.

Thanks. If I were Catholic I think I would want the guy who didn't want to be pope to be the new pope.

The contractions come on unexpectedly and for a first-time mom, you aren't quite sure that "this is it" until the contractions get severe and close in time to each other. They gradually increase in strength and intensity.

Me too, same feeling and Sunday morning I woke up and lost track of time and date for two hours. Then today I wake knowing something had happen or changed, and I knew it had to be big but did not understand what it was. Until I heard the news and it was big, (the Pope resigned.)Then my spiriual body adjusted itself, as if it knew all alone. just fascinating is it not?

Good point. However, Revelation specifically calls for a "great city". None of these are cities. Vatican City is and is on seven hills.

We should all be searching and questioning, so good thought.
