On a more serious note though, it is pretty weird that there is a Prophecy about "Peter the Roman" being the last Pope, and then along comes Peter Turkson as front runner to be the next Pope...in a couple of weeks.

Timing had to be just right.

Peter the Roman - This final Pope will likely be Satan, taking the form of a man named Peter who will gain a worldwide allegiance and adoration. He will be the final antichrist which prophecy students have long foretold. If it were possible, even the very elect would be deceived. The 112th prophesy states: "In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Petrus Romanus, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations; after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The 7 hilled city is Rome. This is getting really scary. 2013 is the end.

Just reading up on Peter Turkson, really never heard of him before till now.

If people can't begin to see what is happening now then there is no hope for them. In a couple weeks the final Pope will be in place. Before too long the final battle will begin. Open yor eyes.

The prophecy states He WILL feed the flock..so to say that he is like the great deciever is not true.

That is the way I read the prophecy.

I see no indication that the Church will persecute its own but I do see how the present system that is being put into place disagrees with not only the Catholic/Orthodocx and Protest. churches but the offshoots of those sects as well.

ie. The ideas of abortion and birth control.

"Feeding" the flock is how he will create trust and loyalty. Feeding them knowledge, love, food etc...

Following this he can act in ways you may not expect and say to his followers "Did I not feed you? Have I not cared for you? Don't you trust me?" That kind of stuff.

He is very much anti-islam from what iread this morning.
In that case "feeding the flock " could mean feeding the vworld with propeganda thus creating major conflicts between islamic nations and christians. Under the present conditions the last thing the world needs is a pope inciting one religion against another.
If he is elected then it stinks to heaven as it would be clear that the whole thing is a set up to start a major conflict in the world.
Latin americans are one of the most devoted christians alnog with Africans in the world. Irinically both these groups have no conflict with the islamic world.
