BREAKING: Explosion on Turkish-Syria border. Killed and injured!

‎#Syria #Turkey border blast today targeted a meeting of #SyrianNationalCouncil officials and #FSA Joint Military Leadership.
#SNC delegation, which was saved by a slight delay in arrival at the border for the meeting, included George Sabra, Farouk Tayfour, Abdelahad Steifo, Abdelbaset Saida, Ahmed Ramadan, Salem Almeslet, Jamal Alward, Bashar Alheraki, Yassein Najjar and Mohammed Sarmini.

We advise against all travel to the Turkish towns of Akḉakale and Ceylanpinar. We advise against all but essential travel to areas within 10km of Turkey's border with Syria. We advise against all but essential travel to the provinces of Hakkari, Sirnak, Siirt and Tunceli.

Border Blast: The Fallout and Predicting Turkey’s Response

The border incident will surely lead to a loud condemnation, but escalation remains unlikely at this time. Erdogan is going to want to change the subject as quickly as possible. The longer the news stays focused on Syria, the more ammunition his critics will have to come after him.

Moving forward, the border blast (should it be tied to Syrian intelligence) is likely to raise more questions about the trajectory of Turkish foreign policy. Thus, the biggest loser within the administration is likely to be Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.

Witnesses said they saw the vehicle drive up to the Cilvegozu border post, one of the main crossing points for Syrian refugees into Turkey, shortly before the explosion.

Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said the government was investigating all possible causes for the blast, including a suicide attack, but it was wrong to jump to hasty conclusions.

"The information that we have for now is that a minibus with Syrian number plates coming form the other side exploded. It was a powerful explosion," Arinc, who is also the government spokesman, told reporters after a regular cabinet meeting.

And you're doing a great job, read your updates regulary in other threads too. Seems like there won't be some kind of immediate response, could be anyone behind this, even the rebels are fighting with each other now, it's a mess.

thanks, but i posted this already, missiles fired from Al Nasiriyah in Damascus, it's not the first time, not sure why this is breaking

their hasn't been much news coming from Syria in the last few days some people have suggested its perhaps been to quiet.

Sounds more like the Syrian rebels had a vehicle explode on them through negligence.
