However, it should not be forgotten that this development, given wounded human nature, will not come about without anguish and suffering. Through the account of the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1-9), the Bible warns us how the “diversity” of peoples can turn into a vehicle for selfishness and an instrument of division. In humanity there is a real risk that peoples will end up not understanding each other and that cultural diversities will lead to irremediable oppositions. The image of the Tower of Babel also warns us that we must avoid a “unity” that is only apparent, where selfishness and divisions endure because the foundations of the society are not stable. In both cases, Babel is the image of what peoples and individuals can become when they do not recognize their intrinsic transcendent dignity and brotherhood. The spirit of Babel is the antithesis of the Spirit of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-12), of God’s design for the whole of humanity: that is, unity in truth. Only a spirit of concord that rises above divisions and conflicts will allow humanity to be authentically one family and to conceive of a new world with the creation of a world public Authority at the service of the common good."

i am looking for another person (in the catholic church) wearing anything similiar to this.

It is not an upside down cross. You just cant see the botom of it because it is blocked by something in the foreground.

I wrote this in 2005 and everyone laughed and ignored me... now Turkson is frontrunner...

Cardinal Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson fits all the prophecies and the intents of the Catholic Church should the current sick Pope die.

- The Catholic Church have a clear cut record of giving the Papacy to those from weak and small countries to redress political clout. Turkson comes from Ghana.
- There is a move afoot to have a Thrid World Pope.
- The Catholic Church gives the papacy alternatively to old men and to young men, hence the next should be young. Turkson is the second youngest.
- Turkson has been close to the current Pope and his views on contraception.


- Propecy says that the next Pope will be "Peter the Roman". Turkson went to train at a religious intstitution in Rome. As a result, in his own home town in Ghana, he is ALREADY nicknamed "Peter The Roman"

- Another prohecy says that the last Pope of all time will be "The son of a Turk". Peter's name is literally "Turk-son"
- Another prophecy state that a Pope will move the seat of the Pope to Avignon. Avignon AIr is a major airline in Ghana.

Following the shock announcement that Pope Benedict XVI will stand down later this month, speculation is rife over who the next Pontiff will be.

One thing that experts appear to agree on is that there is a strong possibility he will be the first non-European leader of the Roman Catholic Church.

The frontrunner according to some bookmakers is Ghanaian Cardinal Peter Turkson who, if he was voted in for the top job, would be the first black person to do so.

i find it interesting that the man who could become the world's 1st (and last, perhaps) "black pope" who wrote that it is a christian's DUTY to usher in a "one world authority" banking system....wearing a freaking upside down cross to boot.....and no one has much to say?

The upside down cross is no big deal, it represents Peter.

Peter was crucified upside down because he thought he wasn't worthy of being crucified like Jesus or some shit.

Ahhhh but he has sweet loving eyes! Wow, many can be fooled by this one. Keep watch. I think he has the highest qualifications to become the next Pope. I read and he looks great on paper.

There is no chance that a Roman, meaning someone born in Italy will NOT be the next Pope.
Won't happen - period.

The Church is not going to take a chance that the next Pope will be unpopular, or divisive, not a rehash of John Paul II.

The last Pope is the prophesy of St Malachy ends with the current sitting Pope.
The "Peter The Roman" was not part of the original prophesy.
Take note too, that there are NO (ZERO) spaces left in the Vatican for Papal Portraits.

Just some FYI, the Church does NOT indicate that Pope Benedict fulfilled the prophesy of St Malachy.

i am trying to research turkson's coat of arms (which is bizarre) and came to this point.

i find it interesting that on his coat of arms there is a white open book with the letters alpha and omega.

i cannot even find anything on that at all.

the serpent is also quetzalcoatl and many other things.

one could say the serpent represents a wormhole (see william henry)

so the ressurection COULD be the act of a wormhole (in theory)

As Peter Turkson left his tiny village and ravelled to Rome to study to become a priest, his tiny village ALREADY refer to him by the nickname of "Peter The Roman".
