I think next time they should go for somebody who doesn't
worship graven images.
Probably somebody who doesn't pray to Mary instead of to God
in Jesus's name would help also.
It would help to find one to say prayers from the start instead of by rote.
And one who would renounce all that kissing of the ring, living in a mansion feifdom, and wearing the raiment of royalty, too.
Lastly, someone who wouldn't pretend to be infallable would be nice.

I like to do this prayer:

Matt 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

But, people who say that prayer by rote are just the same as those who are told to say a couple of "Hail Marys".

All prayers should be originating from the heart out of thankfulness and needs.

It was meant as a guide to know how you SHOULD pray.
Otherwise people would view it as a selfish "wish" list.
Instead of recognition that we all fall short and should be mindful of it in ourselves and others.

Pay attention to the order of things not the repetition of the Psalmist's words.

Who cares?

Anyone who is aware of papal and Vatican history at all knows that the popes (lower case intentional) and the Vatican have been-- and continue to be -- as corrupt as it gets in more than one way.

People are free to believe what they choose, of course, but the only people who really care about this issue are superstitious idiots.

However, if someone who is elected/selected to be pope who would act as though he realizes that we are in the 21st century and acts as though he truly cares about the poor and renounce Catholicism's position on birth control, I might change my mind -- but the chances of a truly good pope being chosen are about the same as finding out that all the priestly pedophilia and child molestation reported by hundreds (if not thousands) were just lies. (And if there truly is a hell, those holy hypocrites will be spending eternity there, no matter how many Hail Mary's and rosaries they say and confessions they make.)

Stop wearing dresses and protecting child molestors. Zero tolerance for pedos or your church is a pedo church.

Personally, I believe the church should be shut down for fraud. That's what Jesus was originally charged with and punished for I believe. Now 2000 years later he's a hero? Why? Because he overturned most of God's commandments, and brought division and chaos to this world? The morning star is exactly what I picture when I think of a "Prince of Peace"

With me as Pope I will allow priests to marry to promote healthy families. Plus you get the new calendar to modernize the Church. Plus a state of the art world Christian capitol center at Niagara Falls.

Plus I want liturgical stuff cut way down and just hear a message and some hymns at Church with fun activities.

With schools modernized the population will get much healthier.
