Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24590938 my question is: Does NK have the ability to hit us with any sort of missle; emp, nuke, ballistic? Yes but not yet, In Dec 2012 NK had a successful rocket launch into space. They still have to figure out how to get uranium into a rocket, which won't take long now. |
nerd User ID: 31855582 United States 02/12/2013 01:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | North Korea tests their nukes all the time. Although, this is a bigger and more advanced nuke. What we really need to worry about is them selling the nukes so they can be detonated in the U.S.. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34205137 North Korea is TPTB and China's little communist/marxist/fascist social side experiment. They are studying how to starve and control the masses. I'll be damned, we do still have some smart people in the US |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1342725 United States 02/12/2013 01:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1342725 because our intel of NK is not oblivious to that amount of raw enrichment; and they've never tested thermonuclear tech. I'm SURE they watch centrifuges with a very discerning eye. No ones intel of North Korea is very thorough. Hell, we are just finding out about major labor camps and them killing children and eating them. That's the problem with NK, no one really knows what they are doing there. Labor camps and genocide are not matters of world security, so honestly, I would not be looking for them either. As you should know, some of our negotiations about NK's nukes had to do with them stopping nuke developed in trade for aid to feed the people of NK. Yes, so it was part of world security. But you can tell if they're separating the U-235 from the U-238 in the enrichment process from very far away without using the visible spectrum. Maybe if they had the funding they would have though. |

northerntomcat User ID: 33077229 Canada 02/12/2013 01:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | North Korea announced today that it conducted a third nuclear test. This is a highly provocative act that, following its December 12 ballistic missile launch, undermines regional stability, violates North Korea’s obligations under numerous United Nations Security Council resolutions, contravenes its commitments under the September 19, 2005 Joint Statement of the Six-Party Talks, and increases the risk of proliferation. North Korea’s nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs constitute a threat to U.S. national security and to international peace and security. The United States remains vigilant in the face of North Korean provocations and steadfast in our defense commitments to allies in the region. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 34220519 Australia 02/12/2013 02:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This nuke test was "threatened" against the overwhelming weight of global opinion and even the closest ally of North Korea, the People's Republic of China. It was accompanied by threats to the United States. Every day the North Koran Stalinist regime threatens the free people of South Korea with nuclear annihilation. The Marxist professors safe in their universities in the West don't need to worry about that. Who are the gullible cretins? Those who recognise the evil of a twisted Stalinist terror regime? Or those petty bourgeois commentators who would have news as some sort of flat and toneless drone of objectivity? The deceit of cultural relativism, the lie that there is some sort of equivalence (as there was for De Valera) between Adolf Hitler and Winston Churchill, or (as there was for the Stalinist Left) between the USA and the USSR, or (as there is now for the philistine mush that claims to be "Left" today) between soldiers who fight to liberate and thugs who murder little schoolgirls or nurses vaccinating for polio - this deceit is still an evil that pervades in the West (and particularly in Britain). Orwell's words are still apt: "An illusion can become a half-truth, a mask can alter the expression of a face. The familiar arguments to the effect that democracy is ‘just the same as’ or ‘just as bad as’ totalitarianism never take account of this fact." |
