God does not ordain or sanction evil, harmful governments.

They crucified him for a reason. Our government would do the exact same to us. Trust me.

Fear God... not government.

The government needs to fear us for a change.

The 'superscription' on the tax money proclaimed that Tiberius was the son of a god.

The inscription reads “Ti[berivs] Caesar Divi Avg[vsti] F[ilivs] Avgvstvs” (“Caesar Augustus Tiberius, son of the Divine Augustus”), claiming that Augustus was a god.

In other words, only God was due that respect from anyone since Augustus was not divine.

Then drew near unto him all the publicans (tax collectors) and sinners for to hear him.

Some of the main people Jesus interacted with were tax collectors... Matthew, Zacchaeus.

It is the same today.

When government becomes a terror to good works, that is the sign that the government is no longer instituted by God!

Jesus taught to give away your belongings and follow him.. if people would literally do this, then Rome would be completely unable to tax these people, being that they have nothing to tax. Jesus was brilliant.. after all, he did say render to Ceasar what belongs to Ceasar, and give to God what belongs to God.

If Jesus had no money, why did they ask Him for tax money?

Jesus got mad because they money hangers were loan sharking in the temple. The only way for worshipers to enter the temple, make sacrifices, and such was to deal with the money changers. Jesus was tired of the money changers robbing the worshipers.

Jesus miraculously provided money for his disciples to pay the tax for all of them.

Jesus absolutely did not rebel against the tax laws.

Jesus was focused of saving you and me!

Those were their charges, to be sure, but they were not reality.

Why pay taxes if you have no money?

Jesus performed a miracle to pacify the criminal tax collectors because His time was not yet come.

I know that Jesus doesn't want criminals to steal His children's money to enlarge their coffers.

OP, I like what you are saying. I think Jesus was all about government. He had compassion on the masses..He fed them and went about doing good. I don't know? Sometimes, I think we are one step above the animals? I am scared.

Jesus said even tax collectors and prostitutes can enter The Kingdom of Heaven.

Jesus didn't want us to worry about food, clothing or even shelter, but according to some of these bootlicking religitards, Jesus wanted us to worry about paying taxes to corrupt governments.

There is nothing to be scared about if you fear God, not man.

Yes, Jesus looked at the inscription on the coin which claimed that Tiberius was the son of a god, and His point was made that the caesar was NOT due that which was due to Him, and that was the recognition that Jesus was the true Son of God.

The recognition of the Son of God is not due to anyone but Jesus Christ.

48 B.C. Julius Caesar took back from the money changers the power to coin money and then minted coins for the benefit of all. With this new, plentiful supply of money, he established many massive construction projects and built great public works. By making money plentiful, Caesar won the love of the common people.

But the money changers hated him for it and this is why Caesar was assassinated. Immediately after his assassination came the demise of plentiful money in Rome, taxes increased, as did corruption.

Eventually the Roman money supply was reduced by 90 per cent, which resulted in the common people losing their lands and homes.


30 A.D. Jesus Christ in the last year of his life uses physical force to throw the money changers out of the temple. This was the only time during the the life of his ministry in which he used physical force against anyone.

When Jews came to Jerusalem to pay their Temple tax, they could only pay it with a special coin, the half-shekel. This was a half-ounce of pure silver, about the size of a quarter. It was the only coin at that time which was pure silver and of assured weight, without the image of a pagan Emperor, and therefore to the Jews it was the only coin acceptable to God.

Unfortunately these coins were not plentiful, the money changers had cornered the market on them, and so they raised the price of them to whatever the market could bear. They used their monopoly they had on these coins to make exorbitant profits, forcing the Jews to pay whatever these money changers demanded.

Jesus threw the money changers out as their monopoly on these coins totally violated the sanctity of God's house. These money changers called for his death days later.
