i think the difference is msm news stories do it to be sensational and get more views/audience.
People are still asleep but they just think its edgy and cool to be alternate deep thinker.
I dont know about whats happened to the site besides the flood of'noobs', but the difference between noobs/msm and people that have been around this site etc for years is-the conspiracy theorists(i hate theat term) are just how they are-they dig deep-they dont try-its how they are and they also care-the rest do it for the reasons i mentioned above.

in general ive noticed a watering down in passion and inspiring posts/ideas thoughts on a few sites over the past few yrs-not just here.I think a lot of us are really tired too, and are more observers(is that what happens when we learn so much?)these days.

Youtube, the gaurdian, the daily mail, zerohedge the comment sections all sound like GLP'ers now, its pretty crazy.

The comments on facebook are more radical than any conspiracy site now. GLP is just a re-hash of whatever Drudge or Breitbart has already said.
The general public has caught up. It's not GLPs fault. The mood of the USA is changing. Their tolerance for fraud and abuse is lower.

Many of the great thread creators that were stimulating GLP are no longer around.

Also, mods are not even bothering to show up. I saw 2 over last weekend - but the others disappeared.

I know it's hard to realize so close to home.

How did they re-elect a man who refuses to even prove who he is and produced fraudulent evidence when asked to prove his identity?

It's amazing but according to Obama's executive orders concerning gun control, Obama could not buy a gun in the USA using the level of identification that he's provided so far in his presidency but he's the President signing the very executive orders that set the restrictions...

The average person on GLP are dumb as rocks. Read some of the comments and see what some of this nutbags actually believe. Id say the average GLP user is BELOW the national average. Of course there are afew smart ones on here just the minority

GLP has become popular with teens.

They have been treated like little robots at school and they feel something is wrong.

They are just finding us and we should help them out.

My daughter is 13, this is the first yr. she has looked for truth.

Also, they think it is cool to know things others don't.

There are many teens here lately. You can tell by their vocabulary.

If the internet was popular when I was 13 I would have progressed much faster. That's a nice luxury.

To muddy the waters of the real truth that could be gleaned from this site back in the day, shills and agents have been bled into the forum to sidetrack mature debate inspiring irrational outbursts of hate attributed to race baiting with a splash of other controversial subjects designed to prick the ego.

Intelligent critical analysis has been gouged out to entertain the invective of the programmed fearful "average Joe" after having their first lick of the conspiracy honey pot thinking they understand what is in place on our planet (but have no clue), or word of cyber mouth indicating this is the new KKK haunt to sow your oats of blame.

This site now typifies the social mentality of (primarily) the US which on its own, is cause for concern.

True insight has been replaced with the common denominator, abject ignorance.

But the good news is:

I think that's true but the biggest question is whether that's going to actually lead to positive change or not.
