What the people in power say, and what they really mean.
Let's face it, nowadays almost everyone in the public eye or on the payroll is full of crap. As an ode to this, I have decided to put up a few examples and you are encouraged to put some more.

COPS

"Stop Resisting"
I am trying to make an excuse for kicking your face in because of this pesky camera when it hits you tube

"Do you know why I pulled you over?"
I don't either, hope you have some bs story ready so I can ticket you for something because I need to meet my quota.

GOVERNMENT

" We are monitoring the situation"
We don't have a clue what the hell you are talking about

" I never had sexual relations with that women"
I had so much sex with that women I thought it was going to fall off.

"We are looking into the matter"
We couldn't care less

add some more, I am still tired, you get the drift.

"Let me be perfectly clear"

Whenever anything is prefaced by this statement, it is an NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) technique which calls attention to the subconscious to accept whatever follows as gospel truth, and of dire importance.

Wow I got my first pin! thanks.

you ever notice that you are good enough to vote but not good enough to be voted on?

When you go to court, the judge says what can and can't be considered. But it's a jury of your peers right? Why don't they get a say based on everything ?

Good thread, whether one passes time in the legal system, in prison, or "on the street", one learns to not listen first to the actual words people say, but rather to read the intent, behind those words. In that context, most questions from adults are most often concealed or subtle attacks, even though the questioner likes to hide a hostile intent, behind a pretense of false naivety.

Read Intent, first and foremost.

'fundamental'

recent polls show the majority of the general public do not know the meaning of this word so using it alot in political statements tends to deflect joe taxpayers interest.

"FOR OUR CHILDREN"
Every time I hear this, it is some liberal trying to take our rights away.

Example sentence:

We must do this for our children!

True meaning:

We must for the hidden agenda that would would hang me for if I told you the true reason why.

See! "For Our Children" is much shorter, uses less ink and is less confusing. No wonder they use it!

YUP

the point that I'm making is it is bowing to an assumed authority

that's why the contradictions are so much because if people asked real questions you would be dismissed in a few minutes

real questions to ask in court - remember questions and beliefs are not convict able

1- what authority do you use to address me?
2- may I seek a higher authority?
3- I believe that there is a problem with the name as I do not recognize that as an authority to be here
4- may I face my accuser?

I'm not saying that this is going to win or lose you a case, but if a judge or court were stupid enough to actually answer those questions they would expose the fact that they are a false authority themself

now the legal language of how to get out of the jam, I'm not versed in.

It may sound petty but I boil with anger when our leaders
get on TV and start talking about "WE"
We are going to pull together etc.
We must make sacrifices.
We all share this problem.
No we fucking don't.
