So 34K+ troops sitting around with nothing (not all but many ruined or interrupted lives and marriages, lost of daily adrenaline high, lack of support for processing their trauma and emotions, no thanks, no jobs, no benefits, and nothing but BILLS BILLS BILLS) yeah this is going to work out well... Historically, hopefully they organize and march on washington (google "bonus army" or 1933's smaller "bonus march" in the wake of WWI) and demand not just change (hope and chains anyone), not just a new deal but a WHOLE NEW DECK cause the current one's screwed blued tattooed stacked and marked and we are the suckers. |

I averaged $100K a year with Hazardous Duty Pay, Special Pays & Bonuses, for 13 years of my Career while deployed to Desert Storm/Haiti/Korea/Bosnia/Korea-2 My actual pay was around $43k a year the rest of the time Last Edited by Lupe_Ate_My_Tacos on 02/12/2013 10:19 AM One Tequila! They won't be getting anything. |

The bonuses aren't good right now. While they are deployed it's good money though. My logic is that since they will not re-up they will become one of the unemployed. “Expectations are the root of all heartache” "I like all of the races, even the bad ones." |
