Whatever happened to REAL MEN like Charles Ingalls??

Time happened. Shit changes.

This is what happened

He was married three times and had nine children.
The show was a nice idea but a fairytale

The actor yes but Mr. Ingalls no.

They die of cancer from suppressing all their manliness.

Real men are portrayed as not in touch with the times, dinosaurs, not sensitive and anti social, so he died alone and rejected by all.

WHo wouldn't like to see a sheriff and police officers act with the courage and integrity of Andy Griffith?? And the ones who couldn't be given one rusty bullet for a 32 that MIGHT go off like Barney Fife??

Those days are over, men have been emasculated and made into sniveling cowards by feminism and brainwashing. God I despise meterosexuals.

I consider myself a real man, the kind that rescues children from poisonous snakes and faces down armed men while unarmed with facts I know are going to engrage them.

The last men in this country are indians, but that is no surprise. We have courage and a no fear of death, it is hard to scare a person like that.

We will lead you to reason if you have the sense to follow.

He took in abused and homeless children and stood up to corrupt "leaders' in the community. DOing either now is a sure ticket to trouble

good heart, his story lines were always positive even

Believe it or not, they still exist. I am married to one. We live on a farm but he is a high-power attorney in our nearby city. He makes a good income and is one of the best lawyers in his field but just this morning, for example, before he left for work, he spread a bale of hay for our livestock, took animals from one pen to another for grazing and helped me fashion a feeding trough for one of our newest farm animals all before 8 AM when he showered, put on his suit and headed to his day job.

He is the spiritual head of our home, teaches children's messages at church, helps me birth and bottle feed animals on the farm and turns our garden and tends the crops. He can shoot a deer with a crossbow and field dress it on the spot but would never dream of harming an animal outside of providing for his family.

He has integrity and is admired by everyone he helps serve. He takes his vacation days and travels to Colombia, South America annually for a 10 day lay mission trip and volunteers for local mission projects. He shows me affection in front of our children and when they are not around (*wink*) and demonstrates to our three young boys what it looks like to be a REAL man while making me feel like a desireable woman even when I don't feel like it most days! He even favors Charles Ingalls with his good looks, piercing blue eyes and thick, dark hair.

I'm not sure why God blessed me with such an incredible man but I just wanted it stated for the record that Men of Honor, Devotion and Integrity DO STILL exist! Let that be an inspiration to you, Hawk-O, to get off that couch and be the man God meant for you to be! Women today are starving for REAL MEN! BE ONE!

In case my husband gets a break at the office and checks GLP.

Charles Ingalls rocks, Michael Landon created a great TV Show with "TLHOTP" and gave me so many good feelings with that show, weird huh, when you feel more at home and better watching "The Little House on the Prairie" than setting one foot in the next town or switch on the News on the TV, no matter how cheesy some of the Episodes were, it always took me to a better world.

Sadly, this damned MODERN society killed men like him.

I've been blessed with a man who has about 1/2 of his qualities...!

I've read the entire Little House series 3 times. Once when I was a child, and twice to my own children since the oldest and youngest were 8 years apart.

Pa was a REAL man, but he did not behave as lord and master over his household. He treated Ma as an equal and valued her opinion. Ma would often answer, "Whatever you think is best, Charles", but he did appreciate her for her wisdom and intelligence. Ma did her womanly duties and Pa did his manly duties. Ma nurtured the family and Pa protected it. He never treated Ma as inferior.

When Laura and Almanzo were married, she told Almanzo that she didn't want to say "obey" in their wedding vows. Almanzo agreed. He did not want a woman who didn't have a mind of her own. Laura did not, however, think that woman should vote.
