I remember when I was young and thinking about getting into medicine, I read one of Carson's books. This is one highly intelligent man, and he's certainly known adversity in his life. He didn't seem like a "go-along-to-get-along" type then and it's good to see him verify this once again, though not so much unexpected. Good find!
