1) it was the *police* THEMSELVES,QUOTED as saying that.
It wasn't the media scrambling..The OFFICER,or "credible" LEO had went out of his way to provide the 14 jackets 14 corpses detail. When there should've been 16 jackets... And the one survivor as mentioned above.
3) "checking" for vitals is BS, articles mentioned "Groups of victims huddled together"...
They should've evacuated as many as they could. What is proper protocol for such a thing?
I'm sure they don't want any lawsuits due to failure to rescue so it's easy to say they had "one" EMT check.
