Here it goes! Obama Adm. Says All Americans Must Have 'Healthy Housing'

But I do have a healthy home.

We grow our own food, that's fresh and free of chemicals.

We get our meat from the deer that share the woods and garden. And from the fish in the lakes behind me. Neither has extra chemicals.

Our water comes from an underground river that flows below us.

And my home has been in the family, as well as the home up the road for the last 100+ years instilling tradition, hard work, and values into my children.

I doubt "The Prez" has a healthier home in Chicago with all of his chemicals, cars, rape, murder, lead paint, and city water.

Whats funny about this thread is that my insurance company did a spot inspection on my house, I just came inside for a few minutes from painting my fascias, sucks! They came unannounced, did a walk around and said I have 60 days to paint the fascias, roof the garage, trim the tree from the house nextdoor thats over my roof, and no shoes on the porch (trip hazard), took pics for the underwriter and mailed me a copy, said that they will drop me if I do not finish in 60 days. So ya....probably healthy housing from here on out, PONY UP!

A healthy home according to who? Non-hybridized seeds, meat missing growth hormone, water from an aquifer that the government can claim mineral rights to, and a nuclear family? Jesus, you should be in prison according to this administration.

I see all of the above happening -

The government tells you (for a fee) how far off the guidelines you are, recommends what must be done for correction, and then again requires inspection (for a fee) to see if you now meet these guidelines.

Who would set such guidelines? The government, of course, but "only after serious discussion with forerunners of the industry"

Who would perform such inspections? The government, of course - I can even see ANOTHER bureaucracy-filled "department" being created. In all, even if you "passed" any such garbage inspection - you were still required to allow a government agent into your home for SEARCH, uhm, I mean "inspection". AR standing in the corner? Nice cabinet in the den? Bible on your coffee table or night stand? Tobacco or evidence of smoking inside your home? Children at home during the day/ not at the government school? All can/ will be noted. See where this craziness leads?

Who would be ALLOWED to perform the work necessary in order to meet the new inspection "standards"? You got it - Union-based companies.

This, just as all of their other "Programs" has absolutely ZERO to do with your health or well-being.

where does it say anything about inspection? looks like recommendations, raising awareness, etc

How about addressing the flouride in the water coming in through the faucet?

If you gather enough info (theres tons of it)of the harm Hexafluorosilicic acid (govt. def. for flouride)does to the human body -then maybe 'you' should start the fight in your own community.. gather info, gather people, start with your own community... if you have a problem with the flouride in your water, why do you wait for someone else to start it...you know its bad!...don't bitch about it unless you're willing to do something yourself!

Trying to keep people safe from illness and injury in their homes, how evil. And didn't say anything in that article about anyone forcing anyone to have a safe home, just like they can't force you to eat something, with schools banning packed lunches being an exception.
