It would seem at first that we have evolved past those problems, but have we really??? I would suggest a big NO. our quality of life as been improved buy tec. but at what cost? I would rather continue cooking on a wood fire and be able to spend time with my kids when I see fit rather than have electricity but have to be at work every waking our to pay for it. You get my point. We are being enslaved because we are a comodity to a certain few and they dont want us rising above their control. That is why Jesus was made a example of. He was showing us the way to true freedom and he was made a example of. They cannot stand against us if we unit. We may be down but we are not beaten. I dont know who we are fighting but I know how to fight them. Give up your way of life and live a simple life with your loved ones. You dont need three cars a boat two houses and all the rest.

Meanwhile, Hurricane Sandy victims are still without help. And, those who lost their homes in the mortgage crisis are finding it hard to rent nice homes, due to greedy landlords with little oversight, who took advantage of the huge numbers of families looking to rent.

I think this is more directed towards the projects and section 8 housing. Something most of you people don't need to worry about.

The living conditions really are terrible.

Since I live in a coastal area, my insurance was cancelled after Katrina (I don't live in Louisiana), so I got another insurance company. They came to my house, did an inspection, and told me that I had to change from fuses to a circuit breaker. Cost us $2,000. They cancelled my policy a year later, saying they no longer insured anyone within fifty miles of the coastline. Nice.

low income people are fucked. every new regulation costs everyone money. you have to have medical insurance or go to jail. what now, you have to have the latest building products from obama's buddies or you go to jail for that too?

Why isn't he concerned about putting those who are homeless into adequate homes first while he is fixing up substandard homes for those who are already living in homes. Heck, we have the highest unemployment and the lowest housing rates and sales and he can't figure how to put two problems together such as these. It's a sad state of affairs. It truly is.
