Yes, I am VERY aware of the new "Cyber Warriors" - as a Christian-based, Conservative/ Libertarian organization, we are more than aware that we fall within the bounds of their focus.

There are Americans still within the bounds of this country.

You either did not read what I replied or you simply are not intelligent enough to reprieve what I said. Now STFU and go away.
 Quoting: Miss Kitty

Heh. I read what you said. Thing is, the situation with Horner was essentially an outlaw who had killed and was intent on killing until he was killed, according to his manifesto. He proved he was not going to be taken alive in the final shootout at the cabin. Confronted with that condition, by the police, or by anyone being attacked by him, it seems reasonable to do whatever you can to prevent that...i.e., defend yourself, as you said.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29948208

How do you know "Horner" was guilty? You don't! You know only what someone else told or showed you. Rule of thumb "Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see." Due process is more important to the country than your stupid little misguided opinion on the rule of law.
The shill snot nose uninformed idiots are out in force.
 Quoting: Miss Kitty

You're right. I have no proof Dorner killed anyone. I've not seen any pictures of killings, I know personally of no one involved. It comes down to a matter of whether one believes what was reported by the media.

In regard the women paper deliverers being shot up, we have the pic of the truck with bullet holes, and I used to live in that area so I know the street is not faked. I really have no reason to believe anything else was faked either, but I will admit to zero first hand experience.

Chris Dorner Torched Waco Style ?

 Quoting: Jeremiah 11:9 31106515

The last thing LAPD Chief Charlie Beck needed to do was make this guy a martyr by torching him alive.

Americans still have a sense of fair play. While most think he actually did what was claimed, a day in court is the fair thing.

Burning him and others alive is not the fair thing to do. This will engender resistance and ill-will to LAPD.

That being said, this decision by Beck was borne of arrogance than comes from being a general of a private army, one complete with aircraft, storm troopers, light tanks and machine guns. In short, LAPD.

From the viewpoint of history, Beck will be judged as having over-reacted and creating more problems by his heavy-handed murder of this man. He didn't have to kill him. Tear gas does work wonders.

The radio traffic from LAPD makes it clear beyond a shadow of a doubt they intended to kill him by incineration. Burn him out.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18641858

If you think that Americans have a sense of fair play, you will get a huge rude awakening some day.

Doubt that there was ever any real sense of fair play, ask the Natives.

He didn't commit suicide. An FBI guy was on TV last night and said the police pushed him back in the back door as he tried to come out. Meaning they shot at him to keep him in there. A sniper I am sure hit him and then they burned him. The ACLU will be filing a lawsuit in 3...2...1... since when are police allowed to be judge, jury, and executioner?

He tossed out a smoke cannister and ran out shooting his gun.

Police fired back, forcing him back in the cabin.

I'm curious, what do you think protocol should be when a murderer runs out firing at you? Smile and wave and let them run past? Or fire back at them?

I wonder if they still have the people listed on CJDs manifesto under watch. Because if he escaped, you know he's still going to go after them so they're going to want to make sure those people are still protected if he did.

Has anyone wondered where mom was while this was happening?

"Gile said she later went to Dorner’s home in La Palma.
About 10 minutes after she arrived there, she saw the woman from the restaurant, who neighbors identified as Dorner’s mother, pull into the driveway and go in the house."

And for every single person that heralded the intentional burning of this person, just how do you feel now about the decision to burn someone that you were so sure was in that cabin?

That even the actors who started the fire could not confirm the identity of the person inside and decided to move forward with their plan should be no less than appalling.

We'll see how much cheering takes place when this happens on your street - hopefully your friends or relatives will not be inside when the decision is made to burn them down and sift through the ashes later to determination of identity.

My point was the guarantees of the Constitution being ignored and the repercussions of shredding the document. I am not arguing the case of Dorner except to point out the obvious and that is to say the man did not get what the Constitution guarantees all of us. You obviously don't care about the rule of law and would be the cheering section for burning people at the stake because someone said they were a witch or warlock. Perhaps you will one day be in a situation without due process of law. Have fun then.

Of course, as usual, his driver's license survived the inferno so there could be a positive ID.

On Wednesday, an Associated Press source confirmed that Dorner’s California driver’s license was found inside the burned cabin with the body.

Which initially translates to, "Yes I have no proof", which is fine. I don't either. fwiw, I'm on your side in regard the Constitution being abrogated but that's another topic.

I'm not sure the Constitution would guarantee anyone publicly defined as an outlaw, by his actions and by his own word, any sort of right. And, fwiw, there's a substantial amount of difference between public accusations of witchery and fairly well documented murder.

Don't get me wrong. I was on Dorner's side from the beginning. I was born and raised in LA, went through all the BS there, Rodney King, Watts Riots, OJ, etc, and knew some LAPD. He had, imo, a legitimate bitch and it's going to get ignored.

It wasn't clear when a formal identification could be made of the charred remains found in the cabin near Big Bear Lake, about 100 miles east of Los Angeles, after a Tuesday shootout with police. Until then, "a lot of apprehension" remains in the ranks of the LAPD, Lt. Andy Neiman said.

I never said that those people being shot was right. Ever. I think it was BS that these people were shot. I think there's clearly a problem that needs to be addressed within the LAPD. Two wrongs don't make a right. That you think that this makes it ok that other officers/people died too, is your issue. Not mine.

Re: BRKG: Cops Responding To Shootout With Federal Officials, LA Times Confirms Dorner. Update: Dorner May Have Died In Fiery Blaze, Or Escaped
BIG BEAR LAKE — Investigators on Wednesday were in the process of identifying remains found in the charred cabin where fugitive ex-cop Christopher Dorner was believed to have been holed up.

An official told the Associated Press that a wallet and personal items, including a California driver’s license with Dorner’s name, were found with the body in the basement of the cabin.

At a briefing on Wednesday morning, Lt. Andy Neiman said that the LAPD has been back in a normal state of operations since late Wednesday.

He said that the department had not been on tactical alert since early Wednesday.

Neiman also said that “about a dozen or so” protective details of people named in Dorner’s manifesto will remain in place until the department and the families feel safe.

He emphasized that the investigation is not stopping just becasue the suspect is believed to be dead.

“We don’t just stop a murder case simply because we think the suspect in that case is no longer with us,” he said.

Neiman would not comment on the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s investigation of the remains.

He also said that the city attorneys involved will determine who, if anyone, gets the reward money, and that any decision on that matter could take some time.

If the body is identified as Dorner’s, the standoff would end a weeklong manhunt for the ex-LAPD officer and Navy reservist suspected in a string of shootings following his firing several years ago.
