That is a smoke bomb thrown out for no particular reason
because it isn't screening anybody.
Not a fire at the building.

But, you might call it a "special effect".
The alleged fire was later on.
It might be about as real as the shootout.

From CNN - Later as the fire burned, with authorities staying back, she said authorities weren't 100% sure the suspect was still in the cabin.

to me it seems like the two areas are totally different. Could be camera angles but the vid from earlier in the day shows an area way more spacious. And in the second vid the burning cabin seems like a totally different area.

Okay I am convinced it is a smoke bomb, or something similar. Smoke from a house fire wouldnt be bleach white, or would it? I thought the shadows on the back of the pick up might indicate late afternoon,,, but maybe not,...

What I find funny that this guy goes into a community that is known to be heavily armed. Yes, us Californians still own lots of guns and we love them. The mountain community, Wrightwood, Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead area is full of gun owners because of home invasions and thieves, sheriff usually is hard to respond and we mostly rely on the CHP for anything.

Nope. The dreaded CBS said on their reporting after all that showing by helicopter, and all the cars arriving, and the rescue squad blowing past the checkpoints headed up there, that whoops, the real scene of the alleged shootout and injured officers was seven miles away.

So what are you saying? The cars were cop cars at the "big house" and they let off a smoke bomb in the driveway presumably for the helicopters to see. They were all wrong? It was a distraction? The real action was 7 miles away?

Several sources reporting they haven't gone in yet , others saying a charred body has been found. Could be some networks haven't caught up to the latest info. Who knows which report is accurate at this point.

yeah but the last law enforcement press conf at 11pm est said they had not entered they cabin no body has been seen or identified and that the reports saying so were false and that they would have presser at 8am

For a moment, imagine what would happen .... the outrage.... if police discover that body is NOT Dorner's.
