I'd try to respect her diet choices for her dog, but I'd ask her to keep the dog off your yard (if that's what you want). This sounds like it should not get unpleasant, just be constructive.

Maybe her dog has an issue yours does not. Not all humans can eat the same food either.

I didn't feed her anymore bread but the dog was goin' after it. Don't think I want to know these people. Anyone else heard bread is bad for dogs?

Can someone explain to me how bread is going to hurt a dog when my dog has been eating cat shit out of the cat box for years and is perfectly healthy and fine?

Bread won't hurt a dog, but some people out there think their dog should eat wheat grass and broccoli and nothing that tastes good.

My idiot mother in law pulled the same stuff with our lab. "Don't give her bread its bad for labs" couldn't tell us WHY it was bad lol. She's 5 now and perfectly fine. Along with all the other bread eating labs I know...

Wow, no good deed goes unpunished. I would start thinking about what type of high fence you might want to put between you and that house.
If somebody new to a neighborhood starts out like this it will only become worse.

Next time her dog is in your yard, call her and tell her to come get her dog. Tell her you tried a carrot but the dog wouldn't follow you to their house.

The cat eats food that turns to decayed/decomposed protein and fats. Crude. The dogs stomach acids are so strong they can eat something like that raw off the grass and will probably neutralize all of the e.coli. Plus their intestines are small so they poop it out quick. Things like that smell good to them, hence the rolling in poop perfume trick.

They have powerful digestion and are geared towards scavenging or fighting for something, often eating partially rotted food.



Bread isn't good for their digestive tracts as grains are slow moving and they ferment easily when eaten in large amounts. This can give dogs rashes and quick candida infections, just like in a person, but faster, because they are usually never eating wheat/grains or anything like processed breads.

They eat rough meats and greens, vegetables that you would find in a field.

I'd yell at you too. Your a neighbor that the owner has no intentions of what you are doing. Maybe the dog has diabetes. There's more to things than it looks on the surface. Try and be respectful of other peoples property.

Sorry OP, but yes, grains are really bad for dogs.

I wouldn't worry about once in a while, but regular feed should be grain free.

My dog vomits from eating grass. What are you going to do?

I had a dog a while back that would pick a tomato to eat as they were ripening. Just about every day he would find nice one and chow down.
It was funny and cute.

My dog eats anything, including carpet and he is ok. I even had a dog that ate chocolate and drank antifreeze and he lived long.

I heard it's bad for the intestines...

People like the neighbors humanize their pets instead of realizing they are animals and are a world different than us in terms /// well so many ways. Don't worry about it with the neighbors; only thing I would suggest don't feed other people's pets without asking first - they could be on a strict medical diet or have already eaten and the food is not needed nor required.
