I hate golf but I can drive a cart and drink hell out of some beer. Same shit I guess. Plus I used to bottom out a cute greens girl.

I'm a 3.8 currently. Go between a 4 and 2 through out the year.

I won our club championship last year by 9 strokes. I shot 69. We had rain for like 7 out of 10 days just leading up to it. The course was a mudhole. I guess I was the only guy who hit it thin all day.

Though in the top senior flight there was a guy who shot 71. The amazing part about that is he's 73 years old. I didn't see it, but I guess he made everything in sight on the greens.

What did you have to do to get AM status back? Just curious. Was it easy or do they make you sweat?

This was the Euro Challenge tour back mid nineties. I played several events but found it wasn't for me. The cost, travel and length of time away from home, part and parcel of the pro game didnt suit me. You just revoke your PGA status membership and that's it. Happy as a nine to five office pleb again playing for fun at weekend. No Tin Cup for me!

Anyone who wants to become a pro, one word. Practice. Day and night.

I played in one pro tournament, was so nervous on the first tee that I could not tee up a driver, so I grabbed a ball andddd slammed it into the ground hit a three wood about 300 yards I was wound so tight, shot 79-79 got smoked and cut... but still had fun even though it cost me a few clams to enter.

Yup, the miserable life of a young penniless pro. Tough when you don't have anybody bankrolling you. I've known a few guys over the years who could play, they just never had the money to do it.

Had to be an experience anyway. Can't say you didn't try.

I never played anything big so I never had that happen except one time I entered a putting contest. It was a beer company thing. Sink the putt and win a trip somewhere. It was $5 or something to enter. There was about 50 people there.

I was so nervous I was shaking like I had Parkinsons' disease. I didn't put one of the three I had even in the neighborhood. Amazing how that happens.

OH yea, the dream... well I keep having this dream, it's different places,people, or club in my hand. Every thing is different accept one thing... I can never tee up the ball, I can never find a flat place on the tee box to tee up, the ball rolls around on the tee box or there's not a place to take a stance, or enough room to make a swing, really weird and the dream comes up from time to time year after year... really pisses me off.

I'd say declare it unplayable and take a drop 1 to the side and see what happens. Try that next time.

I am dying over here reading this, because I swear I've had an identical dream either once or twice. The last one is the one i recall the most because it was crazy frustrating and embarrassing, ...I just couldn't Tee Off!!! There either wasn't a flat surface to put a tee or enough clearance and then there was some type of a water hazard to clear off the tee. I never ended up being able to tee-off, I woke up totally nervous, sweaty hands, frustrated and embarrassed. I was supposed to be the best player in the outing so everyone had sort of gathered to watch me tee-off on the 1st hole, but I just couldn't launch!!!


So what the heck does it mean??
