I'm an ex-pro. Played on the Challenge Tour. Amateur now, play off 4.

I played several events but found it wasn't for me. The cost, travel and length of time away from home, part and parcel of the pro game didnt suit me. You just revoke your PGA status membership and that's it. Happy as a nine to five office pleb again playing for fun at weekend. No Tin Cup for me! Yup, the miserable life of a young penniless pro. Tough when you don't have anybody bankrolling you. I've known a few guys over the years who could play, they just never had the money to do it. Had to be an experience anyway. Can't say you didn't try.
