Seriously, good question.
Or a police funeral?
As he never went to trial, could become a sticky situation.

Why not? He's a vet. How he lived after he left the service is not a consideration. If it was, and you included all felons, drug addicts and just plain assholes they'd have to deny a military service to half the vets in the USA.

Whether he committed a horrible crime, or did you all a favor by culling the pig population is a matter opinion anyway. Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one, so you give him what he earned.

National tv is asking for a little much.
The turnout would be interesting, would it be celebrity hangers on and groupies, or people he knew from the navy and police?

I don't think they want to glamorize / make a public martyr out of him.A televised funeral would be an excellent spark to ignite another riot though. hmmm...
