Whether or not Gene was "in the know" about the hoax, he IS a liar. That is FACT, as established by the various interviews he's given.

I happen to agree with you that he is a red herring, however. Whether kids came to him or not, it doesn't change the FACT that the story, as presented by the liars in CT, is FALSE. He is a non-factor. And I agree with you that videos that say he is celebrity so-and-so are ludicrous. But that doesn't change the FACT that he is an established liar and that the story, as presented, is FALSE.

And something else. Let's say he did have kids there. If some old creeper took MY kid into his house instead of calling the cops and keeping them in plain sight, I would punch him in his fucking face and demand he be arrested for kidnapping! How DARE he take young kids into his house and dig into the toy box with them. I do think he's just a freak and liar who wanted to insert himself into the situation. Hero? I don't think so, so why is the media glorifying him?

One person we know of could defend him if she so chooses...Jesse Lewis' mom, who Gene said came to his house "her face....her face was FROZEN in fear...". Wonder why she hasn't stepped up to defend him? And no other parent has reunited creeper Gene with these kids either. He is probably known around town as a perv.
