They just said it on the news Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24904482 I could see a drivers license surviving a fire if it is in a leather wallet. Thursday - Feb. 7 [2:30 a.m.]: A passer-by found a wallet with an LAPD badge and a picture ID of Dorner on a street near San Diego International Airport. The items were turned over to police. |

uscrusader1 User ID: 9491757 United States 02/13/2013 10:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's just that the wording is wrong. I would think the proper terminology would be that the suspect RETREATED back inside due to gunfire. Not that he was pushed or shoved back into the cabin. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17851333 I doubt they would have apprehended him, no matter what. Even if he laid down in front of them unarmed and eagle spread. (KABC) -- A California driver's license with the name Christopher Dorner has been discovered in the rubble of a burned cabin where a charred body, believed to be Dorner, was found, an AP source said. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing investigation and says the charred body and personal items were found in the basement of the burned cabin. I should never expect the police to use proper language skills when they are trained to use specific wording in specific instances. Vehicles instead of cars. Buildings instead of houses. Pushed instead of retreated. Makes sense. |
