Help, I am about to be tortured for real!!! Waterboarded, electrocuted, ect.

I am a member of a paramilitary organization that does amateur SERE simulations, though I doubt the word "amateur" describes them accurately. The sims that Navy Seals, Marines, ect. do are probably not as realistic as ours, because they are probably overly concerned about freak accidents, being sued 20 years later by someone claims to have psychological damage from it, bad press, ect

SERE = military acronym for Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape. A major part of it is learning to resist interrogation aka torture.

Have to stay awake for 72 hours. The first 24 are on my own time, and the next 48 are in the "undisclosed facility." I have been awake for 15 and by morning, I will be restrained in a very cold room with no food or water, constant heavy metal music, strobe lights in the eyes, ect. ect.

This is my first time. I really have no idea what my "interrogator" has in mind but he is one of the creative ones and there are rumors that they won't let you go to the bathroom so you shit your pants, they use salt and ice to cause burns on skin, waterboard you, really dehumanize you... We don't operate within the constraints that Guantanamo and those places technically do, because this is a simulation and everybody consents, so we can prepare for more ruthless enemies. I don't know from experience and I'm not trying to be pretentious, but it's possible that terrorists have it easier than us.

I will be protecting the location of a fake attack on a fake military base and the names and hiding places of fake people. Sim ends at 12:00 PM Friday when the attack is either prevented because of the information we give up or it happens and they "kill" us all. So nervous I couldn't sleep last night. Great, that means more sleep deprivation, more hallucinations...oh my.

Now I feel kind of ecstatic, because I'm a huge clutz with most things, but I believe this is the one thing I can do well...which is absolutely nothing. I can win a war just by sitting there and tuning it all out. I love defying authority. I get to say "fuck you," "we're gonna get all you bastards," "I hope your brains get blown out all over the floor," and stuff like that, because of course the "interrogator" knows its a sim and will be playing his own role.

It only ends when we answer the questions. No safe word, except a lot of intel.

LOL, what if I forget one thing out of the 8 or so names, the 4-word base name, and the name and room number of the hotel where they're operating from?!

Sure, torture doesn't provide actionable intel because of exactly that, but life is life and life sucks. This is the real thing. At least I'll never go back to being ordinary.

Pray for us!!! Let's hope they know what they're doing with those extension cords and buckets of water. It's all pretty crude. I saw an interrogator with a staple gun... My org does not support torture at all in any situation except to prepare our own people to survive it.
