How does this dude just hop right off?? No one knows where he is? Whatever. I bet you somebody with a pocket full of cash might. Maybe someone was paid off to let him "escape" but it didn't go in their favor or something. I cannot wrap my head around the idea that someone given such a high responsibility would be capable of screwing up this badly and losing them? I dunno |

I cannot fathom how something this irresponsible and dangerous can happen right in the middle of our neighborhoods. Please stay safe. I will keep you and yours in my thoughs and prayers. |

Hitndahedfred User ID: 826012 United States 02/13/2013 08:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ten bucks says this "lost" criminal is the burnt to a crisp body in the San Bernadino cabin... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31907650 =================================================== YES !!!,,, This crossed my mind as soon as I read the title of this thread. Each time a person stands for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he or she sends forth a tiny ripple of hope. And crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance. Few are willing to embrace the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential vital quality for those who seek to change a world that yields most painfully to change. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14806938 A Sam’s Club warehouse is nearby, also without video footage. Businesses and warehouses in the immediate area are also without video footage. I call bullshit. Total, unadulterated, aeromatic, bovine scatology. This did not happen. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 14806938 United States 02/13/2013 05:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Something is really wrong here. The 911 call was released today and we have been given misinformation the entire time. You can hear it by clicking on the article below. [link to crimeblog.dallasnews.com] 1. We were informed that law enforcement had NO IDEA WHICH DIRECTION THE FUGITIVE WAS TRAVELING. In the 911 call you can hear someone in the background say HE RAN NORTH. And the uninjured detective also asks the witness which way he ran and then repeats that HE RAN NORTH. The detective also said that if he were facing away from Wal-Mart the fugitive ran straight. I suggest using Google Map street view to look at the crime scene. 1601 W. Hwy 114 Business, Grapevine, TX. Not one single resident in the area knew if this dangerous man was heading their direction or not. Why was this important information kept from us? 2. We were informed that there were no witnesses yet you can clearly hear a woman in the background saying the fugitive ran north. Who is this woman? 3. We were not given the correct clothing description. We were informed to be on the lookout for a man of Cuban decent wearing a white hoodie and gray shorts. Both detectives state in the 911 call that he was actually wearing a GRAY hoodie and BLUE shorts. 4. The city of Trophy Club called all of their residents, leaving a strange automated message. It is as follows: “Good morning Trophy Club Residents. A dangerous wanted fugitive has escaped custody in Grapevine and WAS LAST SEEN AT WHITE CHAPEL BLVD (IN TROPHY CLUB) HEADING WEST. Multiple law enforcement agencies from across the area are searching for a prisoner who stabbed a Miami-Dade police officer last evening in Grapevine at a Wal-Mart off of Highway 114. Police say he is five feet seven inches, weighs 175 pounds, has brown eyes, brown hair, and is of Cuban decent. If you see an individual matching this description in the area, please contact the police immediately and do not approach the suspect. All schools in Trophy Club are on an external lockdown until further notice. Thank you” Later in the day Trophy Club sent out a second message stating, “Information from several law enforcement agencies indicates that the fugitive who escaped from custody in Grapevine last night IS NO LONGER IN THE AREA.” Then the Grapevine police spokesperson Sgt. Robert Eberling disagreed with the information put out by the city of Trophy Club stating there is “NO SPECIFIC INFORMATION HE WAS EVER SIGHTED IN TROPHY CLUB.” HOLD THE PHONE! Trophy Club has detailed information regarding not only the direction of travel by this dangerous fugitive but that he was spotted in their city on a particular street! They took it upon themselves to warn their citizens. Grapevine police deny this information exists. But where did it come from? The rest of the area is told, again, that they have no direction of travel and no one has spotted him, that there are no witnesses. Then Trophy Club has been told that the fugitive is no longer in the area and once again alerts their citizens. But the Dallas Morning News states the following: Eberling says police “still consider him to be in the area. We don’t have any reason to believe he’s left the area. We’re turning over the same rocks we did 12 hours ago and covering any ground we haven’t before.” And they’ll continue to do so, he says, “until we get any leads we can confirm he’s moved on or been captured.” Trophy Club is telling their residents that he is no longer in the area and Grapevine Police are stating that they believe he is still in the area. If Trophy Club is fighting to put out the truth then why all of the lies and disinfo? And what about the nonexistent witness who spotting him in this area? [link to crimeblog.dallasnews.com] The Dallas Morning news also states, “Morales hasn’t been seen since his escape Monday night, but hundreds of tips poured in to local police.” Does this make sense to you? HUNDREDS of tips but NO sighting, not a single one? No one has noticed a male in a hoodie and shorts wearing one shoe and shackles running around? Hmmmm… Suddenly there is video from Wal-Mart and they are looking at the footage today. TODAY?????? The law enforcement Command Center for this event is in the frigging Wal-Mart parking lot! That parking lot has not been without a police presence since this episode began! No one thought to immediately walk inside and look at the video the night it happened or at any time the following day so that the residents in the area as well as law enforcement could utilize this information? Really? [link to crimeblog.dallasnews.com] |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 14806938 United States 02/15/2013 06:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Wal-Mart security footage clearly shows that this psycho was wearing different colors than what the public was told. It also shows that he was UNSHACKLED! He had no handcuffs on! It also showed which direction he was running. This information was completely different than what was provided to the public and this information was readily available the entire time. We couldn't have found him if we wanted to. It also shows that as he is running he drops something, stops to pick it up and then continues to run. Was this the object that was used to stab the officer? Is this man still armed? A second video was released which accompanied an article about the crime stating and showing on video that both detectives took turns going into the Wal-Mart for an hour! Each time one or the other deliberately left his partner alone with this criminally insane man while one of them went inside, leaving the other unprotected in an unsecured vehicle. [link to www.cbsnews.com] The larger newspapers and news sources have not reported information that a smaller local news website has reported today. They stated that Morales was possibly sighted in a wooded area near Spinks Road in Flower Mound, Texas. This would fit with what the Miami detective stated (which was kept from the public). If he would have traveled north he would have to go around Grapevine Lake but would have ended up in Flower Mound. This information is not widely known and I had to seek it out. If you live in the Flower Mound area, please take precautions and be extra vigilant. [link to www.pegasusnews.com] |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 14806938 United States 02/16/2013 06:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The beginning of the end for Morales happened when police responded to a burglary of a residence about 5:00 p.m. on Friday and discovered men’s clothes and jewelry had been taken. The task force grew suspicious with the theft of men’s clothes and refocused its search for Morales in the area of Forest Hill and Snakey Road in the Lake Ridge area, where the burglary happened. Morales was eventually found in a wooded area with the help of the Fort Worth police helicopter just before midnight. “Officers located the fugitive and a foot pursuit ensued. As a result of the fugitives actions, he was shot and killed by officers,” Southlake DPS reported on its Facebook page. [link to www.wfaa.com] |

They simply had to travel NORTH like it was first stated in the 911 call which ends up on the shore of Grapevine lake, right where they said he was headed in the first place. |

Spine monkey User ID: 31824263 United States 02/16/2013 08:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I would hold the two policemen who lost him responsible for everything that has happened since. They should suffer full civil penalties for all of the mayhem. This is among the most stupid pieces of police incompetence that I have ever seen. If this were a movie, I would say that the cop who went to the bathroom was actually in on the criminal's plan, and so arranged to set his partner up to be stabbed so that the bad guy could get away. But that's just me thinking with my movie hat on. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 14806938 United States 02/16/2013 09:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I whole-heartedly agree with every word. There has been no apology to our community, no talk of reprimanding any one at all. I cannot believe how they all just simply go on as business as usual. Something is so fishy with all of this. I read in an article that both detectives took turns going in and out of the Wal-Mart for about an hour. One officer surely could have been setting up the other. Unbelievable! |
