I love all three of those albums. I can tell you thought about those choices. There's a common thread there.

Re: YOUR GENERATION - The 3 Quintessential Albums - WHAT ARE THEY?
Really puts in to perspective the shit these kids listen to today...

Half if not more than half of it is all about vanity.

Whereas previous generations had music that actually changed minds and made a difference. From protesting wars to making us all aware and celebrating our differences or even to explore sadness and anger, it was (is) actually music that spoke of things that affected everyone around us.

Music, today, in my opinion, is for the most part nothing but self-important snot.

Ignorant thread of brainwashed proportions.

Which prepackaged, marketed, take-it-or-leave it, industrial product defines you musically?

Ha, FU OP. I used to go raving and there were NO ALBUMS.

What a dinny.

I've not listened to a lot of the albums mentioned here (I'm older) but I can tell you that the bands I listened to were not as you described. They were all serious musicians, very talented, and nothing plastic about them - completely unlike the Illuminati puppets that are around now.
