Then they shot him, found out it was the wrong person they murdered. Then proceeded to set fire to the cabin to destroy the evidence. Stay away from cops.

The 9/11 "wallet/ID/passport" lie worked on 9/11, why not on this case? He did have lots of wallets and IDs, since they have been found at least twice already. Not a very good criminal, so many real IDs on him.
