he most likely assumed they would gas the house first and then when he didn't come out they would set it on fire (which they did) escape tunnel perhaps knowing (if he was trained in evasion tactics) that may have been booby trapped to cover and collapse when closed and after a fire would have taken some time to clear away the rubble afterwards which would have allowed him time to get away since they apparently all thought he was in the cabin.
I "knew" right away when the report came on tv that he was not there and had not been for some time (6th sense kinda thing) so not surprised they have no body.
Prob no wallet either, story constructed to cover the fact that he got away.\

totally agree. i think there's a definite possibility of a frame up, so he got the hell out of dodge, as any sane person would when falsely accused on this scale. i mean cop killer? dude you're going down.... maybe he saw that and that's why he ran. i know i would. and i wouldn't run to a remote cabin in woodsy mountains lol... that's the equivalent of running upstairs in a scary movie when the killer is in the house downstairs, and the front door is wide open. not many people are that stupid.

To be fair and impartial, he may have carried at least 2 wallets. I have 2 on me and another. In my satchel bag. So I have 3 wallets. ID is only in one the others have credit cards.

fair point. I know I have at least 3 purses with various forms of documents that can id me. but all other criticism of this inane story remains.

A) Finding the wallet

B) Rescinding the fact that they did not find a body

C) I thought one of the house cleaners escaped but he still had the other one in the 'cabin" How did she escape ?

D) Any clarification of how many bodies they think they have found

B) Why would he not simply kill the two cleaning women . If he had done so one of them could not have miraculously escaped (I mean come on the guy was a trained specialist. he did not know how to tie people up so they would not escape ?) and turned him in and given away his location

well that's the thing! odinson made a good point, I mean how many id cards do you have? most people have a few state ids, then there's credit or debit cards, then cards for grocery store or pharmacy savings, birth certificates, ss cards, pay check stubs, bank statements, i mean i could go on & on. how easily those things could be planted. this is why i don't have any trust in authorities to ever solve a murder. throw an old cable bill near the crime scene and boom! someone is falsely accused of murder.

We will only know what they want us to know, personally I believe he had something to spill, and I hope he got away. God speed to him, and I hope he survives.
