Most know trades are largely controlled by computers and buy/sell trigger algorithms...

But what is not so known is that... well, remember the "flash crash"?

No fat finger there... It was the first day they installed a market wide program (NYSE and NASDAQ) that (and this I think is truly nuts) keeps track of "parallel progressions" which is a fancy term for two sets of books... Or in this case, a system to track the REAL prices, volumes and index and a secondary system that (allowing human override variability) actually is a entirely "fiat" financial system or simulation... In other words, the markets are not simply a perceptive illusion with no correlation to reality, P/E ratios or true market set pricing but a LITERAL illusion whereby false prices and false index values are published to public

Only those with seats on the exchange and other whales know this...

That is why Larry Page just sold 42% of google

There will be a day that the primary honest system will be restored and that is when the 92% correction will occur- as it already has but the books are cooked and like the news we never question the volume and indexes etc

The market is the price discovery mechanism. Are you saying there are 2 real markets? One reported on the indexes and another shadow market where shadow shares are bought and sold that we don't know about?

You don't get a real price until something is bought and sold and a transfer of cash occurs.

Ok, let's assume that there is such a shadow market where shadow shares are traded, obviously the price then is paid in shadow money. What is this "shadow" money? Is that shadow money exchanged with other, real money to find its value?

If this was real, then all the suckers who exchange in the shadow market are getting conned more than people who exchange in the real market with real dollars/yen/euros/quatloos/etc.

actually, there is a 3rd hidden market behind the 2nd hidden market, where the really big boys sit, and where the actual prices are traded. The flash crash was when data from the 3rd market, due to a software bug, was transferred to the 1st market, and showed to the muppets.
