well, the Declaration of Death (within the link you provided) stated Septic Shock. It is not uncommen that a Septic Shock, especially in elderly, causes multiple organ failure and is very often fatal.
It is possible that this cold resulted in a systemic bacterial infection which led to a septic shock. episodes of acute respiratory insuffiency indicate so as well.

since then Ratzinger hated j.Paul II and his crew

Popes are as effective as politicians..tehy are pretty much a façade nothing else

Except that he had the top medical team and tests around him, in and out of hospital visits.

A systemic bacterial infection would have been diagnosed before it got out of control.

Daily reports on the Pope's medical condition during these last weeks never mentioned systemic bacterial infection.

Please read the article over again, because you have made a comment which I don't believe is consistent with the facts.

Well cause of Death was:

• Septic shock;
• Irreversible cardio-circulatory collapse

The septic shock resulted in heart failure. It can go off fast and sometimes its really only a matter of day(s). Look up the definition for septic shock.
Septic shock is the result of an infection which is systemic or sometimes local. Therefore a seperate mentioning of a bacterial infection in the death report was not neccesary. To get the right treatment, the type of bacteria has to be determind. Not all antibiotics fight all bacteria. To know the bacteria you first have to see what grows from a blood sample.This usually takes a couple of days, up to a week.
I work on a ICU, so i am only looking at the medical side here. I deal alot with the kind of stuff and only wanted to help explain.
Also the tracheotomy indicates that the condition and respiratory failure was much more serious then told.

He could have went back to hospital, being connected to a ventilator, being on high doses of cardiovascular supporting medication and high doses of antibiotics and so on.. with no guaranty of success. He did state he didnt want to be on tubes, which i can understand and this decision should be respected.

The Pope, in this case John Paul II, isn't just an old man waiting around for a lab to do a test and wondering if the doctor will call with the results today.

Lol, even for the pope bacterias wont grow faster out a blood sample in a petri dish.

And I am only responding to the claim that the circumstances of death where fishy according to the declaration of death, which is supposely lacking satisfactory explanation - it doesnt.

Treatment of septic shock requiere high dosis of i.v. antibiotics, constant monitoring and very much so i.v noradrenalin. Especially with a ischemic heart disease the outcome is rather poor.

Oh, btw, even with a tracheotomie someone can speak with the help of a little valve attached to the top of the tube.

The claimes of the original pope beeing poisened and doubled i am not adressing at all here. Mabe so, maybe not....

But in the end it doesnt matter....

um no the EXTREMELY "fishy" death was that of John Paul I...research that one.
