Well, is he?
He cares nothing about the economy. He doesn't have to run for re election so he is just trying to get his social justice crap pushed through.
Everything he does and says is soooo anti business, so anti economic growth, I don't even think he cares.
My prediction: Unemployment will be above 10% before he leaves office.
