Re: Texas dad kills drunk driver who killed his sons
I could not convict him if I were on the jury. Not saying I would do it, but one ever knows. Their is no reason for drunk driving in America/

Good. The dad is a hero.

If I was on the jury, he would be found NOT GUILTY.

This is why the Founding Father gave us the right of jury nullification even though the courts never mention it and most judges would tell you that you have no such rights but it is something that every juror should be told about as they did at one time.

Re: Texas dad kills drunk driver who killed his sons
The dad and kids ran out of gas right in front of their house. Pushing the car back to the house, the drunk driver struck them.

The dad then walk into his house, got his gun, went back to drunk driver who was still in driver seat and shot him in the head.

As a father, I would have definitely beat the living shyt out of the drunk driver, but after that I'd be happy with him rotting in prison.

They will probably make a case for temporary insanity. I'd say having your two children killed before your eyes is fairly understandable grounds for that.... Tragedy regardless, wasted lives because of a fuckin idiot drunk driver.
 Quoting: Philligan

Under Napoleonic Civil Law, in France, this would be classed as a "crime passionel", and the dad would walk.

I generally hate Civil Law and Codes, but in this case, for a crime of passion, it makes sense.

Eye for an eye.

This is the closest thing I can find to this situation. Just remember as a juror you have a lot more say in the trial then the Judge will let on.

Stop saying if u were on the jury you would acquit him, u wouldnt even get chosen if u have a predetermined opinion or are u gonna lie when the lawyers are picking out the jury.

Exalted is He from what they utter. Exalted is He from what they imagine. Exalted is He that exists without a place. Exalted is He that was there forever without a time or a beginning. Exalted is He that will be there forever without a time or an end. Exalted is He that will forever be praised. That is your God.
