So far he is planning on opening a school to teach people to fly the wing also.

Here is the vid released February 8, 2013

Short article on it, the video says it all though.

I'm only human, it's my biggest flaw.

We must all realize a sink a chair and a pillow are all luxuries of home and a soldiers helmet takes the place of all three.

I would love to know what the glide ratio is on this suit.

A standard wing suit as a example is 2.5, meaning for every meter you drop you go forward 2.5 meters.

He is getting a 4.5 glide ratio almost twice a wing suit.

Wow, very cool. I love these kind of videos, the GoPro camera was really an amazing innovation.

When wingsuits first started coming out I remember some expert saying that to achieve the lift of a bird, the force exerted on your arms would be enough to rip them off. Maybe this is the answer...

Thanks for the heads up on this Chrit. I am still looking forward to that CVR movie. Did you see "Flight"? I saw it recently and had mixed feelings. I feel like they sold the movie as being mostly about events happening in the air.

That being said though, the first 20-30 minutes of that movie were very intense and got my blood pumping. "I'm gonna roll it." "WHAT?!?!"
Fuck Yea!

Only question on this new wing is what special license it will require? Just a glider pilot license?

Just glad to get the info out there, the vid is only 4 days old and no one is running with it yet, so figured I would post it.

The movie “Flight” was a letdown, first 30 min were good but the story reminded me of something that might happen in 1979 but not today. The opening was great though…CVR for the win! Hoping for release of CVR December 2013 and check that thread again if you did not see who posted to it!

Cool video friend. How-ever, as a pilot, I gotta have my power plant. With that said the glide ratio is super on his wing, and the drag in minimal. If I was into UN-powered flight I would be into one.

Yea, total letdown. I mean it was a good story but it was just not what they marketed the movie as. John Goodman was pretty cool in it and the struggle with dependency was epic. Not what they sold the movie as though, bottom line.

Gonna go check out that thread now, don't tell me it was Lear, I think he posts on here, or some famous aviator.

While we are talking about CVR...

May 1979, in my hometown of Elk Grove, IL on the edge of O'hare Intl.. American flt 191 crashes shortly after takeoff. This is the 911 recording. Before listening to this I didn't realize that the 5-alarm thing was a really a system to indicate the level of emergency.

No, just a fan of the play so I was around way before that thread was posted, that was my last ditch effort.

Would like to meet him but I don’t say crap to him, I’d look like a weird stalker or something, best to be a quiet fan and enjoy the work. If I had to guess he would remember my nickname though, who knows though.

To kind sir, hard to even respond to that.

CRV got made and I really do know I had a very quiet hand in it as a big fan.

Hope they got my name right in the credits. I thought I filled out the paper work correctly, but then a few days ago it popped up again as not filled out, I redid it just to get my copy in the mail.

Either way I am happy, will be my fault if I screwed up the response.
