URGENT: Chief of reconstruction of Lebanon was killed in the Israeli raid that targeted research center in Jermaya near # Damascus - joint military command

 Quoting: ftownballa

well it's israel they are allowed to kill everyone

israel considers iran a terror state so any government or system employee is a terrorist too.
nothing wrong with it.

To quote an old movie, what we have is failure to communicate.

See, Iran thought they were real wise-guys -- that just because they have Russia, China North Korea, Syria, Venezuela, Belorussia, Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, PRC... behind them, they could start mess with Texas. With Zionist Texas, that is.

So they had Hezbollah send that drone in October, 2012. The drone was supposed to be too small & quiet to be detected by IAF --> but sure enough, it was caught over the Med, and allowed to go as far as was harmless in order to detect just who sent it/was controlling it. Then it was promptly shut down.

Now, this was shorly before the election, and Iran must have known that Israel wouldn't respond and risk upsetting Obama during the election. Israel Defense Miniseter, a former Lefty Ehud Barak warned Iran that they are way out of line, but I am sure people in Teheran thought "hey, what's the worst this Labor polician could do? Send an indignant diplomatic cable to his daddy Obama? Lulz!"

Then

1) Both the IRGC-operated missile factory & massive weapons storage in Yarmouk, Sudan.... used to supply both Hamas & Hezbollah..... had an accident. A big one. Multi-billion dollar one. Oops.

2) Then Iranian first line of defense -- Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, PRC, PFLP -- got a week-long drubbing by the IDF in an impressive display of surgical precision. Virtually no losses for Israel, only 40 Gaza civilian human-shields killed in whopping 1600 bombing raids.... damage to Gaza terror infrastructure is in the billions. And now even Muslim Sisterhood President Morsi is flooding Gaza smuggling tunnels ----> so even if Hamas could rebuild, the cost of smuggling even simple rockets is going up 5 fold. 3 quietest months Southern Border has ever seen..

3) Hezbollah weapons storages are sponteneously combusting practically every other week these days.

4) Fordo -- boom.

5) Ishafan special allow plant -- boom.

6) Syrian weapons convoy + WMD research center = boom, boom, boom!

7) Now the good general has joining the expanding list of senior IRGC & Hezbollah commanders who didn't make it back from Syria.

8) Communication tower in Lebanon during IAF "mock raids" -- boom.

9) Now Hezbollah finds itself closest yet to beign put on European terror-list over Bulgaria bombing that they may or may not had anything to do with.... and it's not just a list, it would have HUGE legal/strategic implications for the Lebanese militia because it's officially part of the Lebanese government ----> Nasrallah sure is sweating it in his bunker....

And it's only just beginning. So was that little drone that started this escalation last October.... worth it?

Seems like mullahs in Teheran have forgotten who the BOSS is in the Middle East. But that's ok, reminders will only intensify from this point on.

So much for supposed Persian strategic smarts...
 Quoting: ASV 5243253

10) of course the whole Syrian Uprising mess, in which both Iraan and Hezbollah got themselves embroiled. In the process losing their former high popularity in the Arab world... which is especially problematic because the latest sanctions are tanking Iranian ECONOMY ----> Rial currency is collapsing, which will put in question Iranian defense projects, including sponsoring Hezbollah & Hamas like they used to in the good old pre-saction days...

Maybe next time there won't be failure to communicate.

Maybe next time Iran will get the point and get the F' out Levant. Meddling in Iraq is one thing, but messing with Texas --> will end in Persian tears.

Final warning.

I don't think it's in Israel's best interest to "crush" Iran. Now, they may HAVE to do it, if Iran or their proxies use chemical WMD or a dirty radioactive bomb, or massively attack first with conventional missiles through Hezbollah or whatever...

But IDEALLY Israel just want to de-fang the Ayatollahs and put them in their place. Longer-term, Sunni Caliphate -- and 80% of Muslims are Sunni, including Palestinians, Egyptians, Jordanians, Syrians, quite a few Lebanese, Turks, Pakistanis, of course all the super-wealthy Gulf states like KSA, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait ---- presents a much bigger danger.

In a way, Israel and the the US would be totally fine with Saddam-Qaddafi-Assad-Iran-Hezbollah as a counter balance to aformentioned Sunni Axis IF -- IF -- they weren't wetting their beaks in a WMD pool, if they weren't prolifirating WMD tech, if they didn't try to replace US Dollar as world's reserve currency... in short, IF they didn't mess with Texas, as Dubya so eloquently put it.

But they did. And we can't change that. Whether on their own, or at the urging of insidious, two-faced Russia & China.... they all but declared (low-intensity) war on the West & Israel.

And that just couldn't stand, sorry.

So if Iran wants to be serious and stop its nuke program, severe tied with North Korea & stop supporting terrorism especially in Levant... it will be left alone.

Noone *really* wants war.

Assassinated IRGC general ‘important as Mugniyah’

Analysis: Iranian Revolutionary Guard commander assassinated in Syria may have had central role in arming Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Details about the assassination of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards commander in Lebanon, Gen. Hassan Shateri, remain shrouded in mystery, but judging by the eulogies showered on Shateri at his funeral, his death represents a significant blow to Iran’s tentacle in southern Lebanon.

Meir Javedanfar, an Israeli-Iranian Middle East analyst who teaches Iranian politics at the Interdisciplinary Center (Herzliya), said reports in the Iranian media suggest Shateri was an important figure who had an overt and a covert role.

One of the mourners at Shateri’s funeral, an employee of the Iranian Embassy in Beirut, described him as being “no less [important]” than Hezbollah’s assassinated field commander Imad Mugniyah, Javedanfar said.

Mugniyah was a critical figure in the Hezbollah hierarchy, who was behind the Shi’ite terror organization’s most ambitious attacks over many years.

The comparison to Mugniyah could be a reference to the centrality of Shetari’s role in aiding Hezbollah’s armaments efforts. The organization is estimated to be in possession of some 65,000 rockets at this time

So much for the innocuous media description of the departed general as 'Bob the (Lebanon) Builder'...

It turns out Gen. Shateri was, uh, a bit more than that, lol

Iran points finger at Israel for IRGC general’s death, vows revenge

"Tehran believes the precision of the attack which killed IRGC General Hassan Shateri is evidence of deep intelligence penetration, and has placed Israel in its sights for payback. DEBKAfile: The general's last assignment was the formation of a guerrilla army of 5,000 Revolutionary Guardsmen and 5,000 Hizballlah operatives to fortify the defenses of Bashar Assad’s governing institutions and secure the main Syria-Lebanon route. Iran is determined to get Hizballah’s advanced weapons transferred from Syria to Lebanon, whatever it takes..."

When about to be invaded by NATO and Israel the 'smart thing to do' is get rid of all your best air defense systems. How fucking stupid does the author of the link think people are. Those missiles are the only reason NATO isn't crossing their borders but Syeria still needs some eyes on the highways, anything overweight gets popped or stopped.

What they should do is blast the fuck out of the Patriot batteries in Turkey. (JMHO as it probably isn't a good idea until they can pinpoint where 'rebel missiles' are actually coming from)

Attack who, the (foreign) rebels in Syria? As a defense partner they should be in constant contact and supplying hitech systems that make hitting convoys easier.
BTW an attack on Iran that got foiled would end all the fear anybody has about either Israel or NATO. (relegated to being 'common terrorists' that the rest of the world could use as justification to boycott all products and services, I'm sure that is quite 'legal' in the eyes of the ICC as far as dealing with belligerent nations.

There have been no non-sanction days since the US got booted out and their 'rescue mission' got pounded before they could get in (as an American feel free to believe the 'no air-cleaner' bullshit). Unless you think using Saddam as a proxy army wasn't some sort of 'sanction'.

All Iran has to do is keep upgrading their defensive arms and both Israel and the US will spend themselves into oblivion. Attack and fail and the (sad) end comes sooner than later.

1) Buzzing over Assad's palace in 2006, showing Russian "inpenetratable" SAM to be, shall we say delicately, "somewhat overraated"

2) The brilliant alleged take-out of North-Korea constructed, Iran-financed nuke reactor in North Syria in Sept 2007 (operation Orchard). Again, Russian's much hyped defenses & advisers must have fallen asleep ala Bekaa Valley in June 1982

3) dozen mysterious deaths some in broad-daylight in very secure Teheran + half-dozen mysterious plane crashes that took lives of nuke experts, including one in Russia 2011 that killed 5 top Russian nuke scientists & administrators.

4) Imad Mughniye SUV head-rest mishap in Feb. 2008.

5) General Muhammad Suleiman, de-facto head of Syrian Atomic Program & Bashar al-Assad's right-hand man.... having a randezvous with a sniper's projectile while vacationing with his many bodyguards in Latakia, also in 2008.

5) November 2011 accidental explostion that apparently took out 2/3 of latest Shahab IRBM's + Iran's chilf missile expert.

6) December 2011 accidental explosion at Isfahan special-alloy factory

7) Spring 2012 another specialized-steel faciltiy allegedly manned by North Koreans goes up in smoke.

8) July 2012 -- most of Assad's father's inner circle that guided younger Bashar, disintegrates during a top-secret meeting that the rebels would have had no way knowing about... Hmm.

9) Chielf Hamas-IRGC weapons liaison Mahmoud al-Mahbouh... self-suffocated with a pillow in Dubai. Tragic stuffL: these religious guys go all their life without alcohol -- and then boom, they find themselves on a secret mission in Sunni Sodom aka Dubai, and all the temptations, including alchohol poisoning just overwhelms them, I guess :)

10) Stuxnet, Duqu, Flame and other similar goodies. And I love how Iran & their Jihadi proxies keep blaming literally EVERYTHING on the Ebbyl Juices.... and keep threatning of Gates-of-Heck type retaliation.

Ok, what are they going to do? Attack a few Jewish kids & pregnant women? Oooh, how brave, their religion is just bursting at the seams with good-will, tolerance & peace, LOL.

Anyway, been there, done that. Before Israel got serious about defense, when Lefty governments ran thigns... suicide-bombings used to happen every other week, somethimg more often. Shoot more rockets at Israeli population centers? Again, Hamas tried it last November --- and it didn't work out for them all that well (as you can tell from the dead quiet since then)

What, Iran will try to disrupt Israel's energy projects? Easier said than done. But ok, let's say they are successful in slowing them down. Guess what? Israel doesn't rely on gas as primary revenue sources ----> while Iran's oil installations in Persian Gulf & Caspian literally mean everything to them.

In other words: one wrong move by the Mullahs against Israel ---> and Persian Gulf becomes literally a sea of black engulfed in flames. Game over.

So again... I suggest peaceful resolution to the whole deal. Iran shuts down its nuke program, cuts ties with NK & Hezbollah, Hamas, PIJ, PRC. In return, Mullahs get to say in power for annother couple of years --- until young irate Iranians over-throw them.

Re: BREAKING: Iranian Revolutionary-Guard Commander Killed in Syria
'Trophy' is another of many defensive system Israel will be trying out during next Lebanan War. Hezbollah has a huge arsenal of Russian ATGM & RPG (in 2006, they hit 40+ tanks, but only destoyed 5 of those hit -- only because even older versions of Merkava are well-armoured, not a big deal considering IDF has 1000's tank but still Hezbollah is very dangerous on its home turf, fighting from among civvilians)

Merkava IV with 'Trophy' scored couple of intercepts from Gaza last 2 years, but Hezbollah will be its first real big challenge. It can defeat Korent & Metis-M in field tests, which is very impressive, but still only battlefield provides ultimate proving ground.

Likewise, Russia told Syria NOT to under any circumstances give Bastion/Yakhont complex to to Hezbollah. However, if Assad falls, Hezbollah may still get their hands on that deadly anti-ship cruise missile. Israel's Barak-8 is supposed to be able to intercept it, but B-8 may not be ready until later this year.

Hezbollah also will have ton of MANPADS. During last pow-wow with Hamas in Gaza, jihadis tried in vain to shoot down Israeli aircraft with Strele & Igla systems that they raided from Qaddafi's huge stash. By luck & good technique, IAF avoided any losses --- but against Hezbollah, it would be asking too much of IAF to be perfect like that IMO.

Someone taking out that Sudanese plant & storage depots in Yarmouk, helped a lot as far as preventing Hezzies from expanding their weapons arsenal, which even regular armies would be jealous of. However, Hezbollah existing arsenals are no joke, which is why IDF is making a lot of preparations these days.

Another battle would be between Iron Dome and heavier rockets like Fajr-5 & Zelzal. Iron Dome interceptor called Tamir is only 90 kilograms soaking wet, so intercepting a 1-ton Fajr-5 -- let alone 2-ton Zelzal would be a awesome feat. I don't think Israel will try to intercept lighter (but still very dangerous) Chinese Grad rockets with fragmentation warheads, because Hezbollah has way too many of them.... ID may protect vital infrastructure from heavier rockets, though --- that is, the ones Air-force hasn't destroyed pre-launch. 2006 IAF destoyed ALL of Hezzies long-range stuff in first 30 minutes of the war, but I think it will be a more difficult task next time.

Either way, should be interesting, either way. Hopefully common sense prevails and war is avoided.

This is why Syria is safe from any sustained bombing campaign (rather than only attacking unarmed places)
Why would Lebanon even want anti-ship hardware, Israel doesn't have any carriers that need to be sent to the bottom.

So Turks again exchanged some shots with Syria. LOL, Assad may be a monster mass-murderer... but it's always fun pinpointing gigantic butt-hurt & hypocrisy of the 3 neo-Ottoman Stooges -- Erdogan, Davotoglu & Abdullah Gul.

The whiny Turks are feeding the 2-year insurgency... shoot at Syria at will... not to mention, indiscriminantly bomb & even gas Kurdish civilians for years, and violate Iraqi air-space whenever they want. So much for Muslims acting brotherly toward other Muslims....

And yet when Israel is alleged to have effortless penetrated latest Russian air-defense -----> and butt-rape Assad's weapons convoey & WMD research center...erasing a top Iranian general & his aids in the process.... only a few kilometers from Syria's freakin' capital of Damascus!!!

Turkey is practically hysterical over allegations (unproven by the way) that Israel did what Turkey couldn't dream of doing even with NATO's help.

Gotta love Muslim bizarro-world rooted hypocrisy.

So much for Davotoglu's oh-so-smug "Zero Problems with neighbors" policy, huh? Let's see: threw best friend Qaddafi under the bus, alienated Israel, broke off with former BFF Bashar al-Assad... exchanging threats with Iran.... aggravating old wounds with Russia.... of course the Kurds.... stepping on Muslim Brothers toes during pontificating visit in Cairo.... then there is Greece & Cyprus. Suffice it to say, there is NO chance of Turkey being accepted into EU.

Thanks Erdogan, the (much overhyped) Turkish economy is approaching point of over-heat, credit bubble ---> and if Saudis & Qataris ever decide to withdraw their billions.... wow, it the downfall will be spectacular.

All in just 2-3 years. "Zero problems", that :)

And then next earthquake (or as Basketball-Americans may call it "earv-cake").... decimates Natanz or Arak facilitiy or happens to be plausibly closer to one of the major fault-lines.

Or perhams MEK or Jundallah plant certainl *something* in West-Teheran.

Or dozens other such scenarios. So if I am Iran, I cool the heck out, maybe go on vacation or something ---> and tone all that "Zionist" hatred down a touch or 10.

Or better yet, let the swelling your Persian population that HATEA the Ayatollah guts even despite 3 decades of Islamic brain-washing & brutal IRGC repression.... overthrow the Mullah government.

Then Israel, West and Iran can be best buddies & business partners just like in the Shah Reza Pelhavi days.

I would much prefer Persians as allies than those fat turds in Rhyadh, Doha, Dubai.

Come Young Iranians, let's make it happen! Ayatollahs - nay, sexy party girls - yay!

And besides, how do we know the good General even died, in the first place?

Given Iran's "fat kid at a cake convention" type love for all things 'old-school Photo-shop'.... they probably just inserted the coffin in the middle of a random crowd. Maybe even tongue-in-cheekly trolled the Green Movememnt like that :)

Re: BREAKING: Iranian Revolutionary-Guard Commander Killed in Syria
Lets see if the 'same condemnation' is applied to Turkey for having 'advisers' in Syria and you can bet your bottom dollar that they weren't there with advice on how to fix some broken water pipes.

(in part)
The Syrian website Syria Now reports that the corpses of the Turkish officers were identified among the militants killed in the Friday fighting in the al-Bab district of the flashpoint city.

Reports say the Syrian government troops killed dozens of militants and inflicted heavy losses on them in two days of fighting for the control of the international airport and the nearby Nairab airfield in Aleppo.

The airport and the military airfield both remain under government control.

Not bad, let the rebels take control of non-vital complexes and once they occupy them in numbers then snap the trap shut.

Re: BREAKING: Iranian Revolutionary-Guard Commander Killed in Syria

Thanks Erdogan, the (much overhyped) Turkish economy is approaching the point of over-heat, credit bubble ---> and if Saudis & Qataris ever decide to withdraw their billions.... wow, it the downfall will be spectacular.

All in just last 2-3 years. "Zero problems", that :)

So now Turkey is threatening Greece with war over oil exploration 100s of miles away from Turkey? LMAO! Davotoglu really IS an idiot (that was the characterization of him by a top Western official who used to meet him privatelly).

Too bad cuz many (secular) Turks are very friendly -- and along with young Persians can make a durable long-term alliance with Israel & the West.

What map are you using?
Greece is a lot further away from the drilling zones that Turkey is.

Re: BREAKING: Iranian Revolutionary-Guard Commander Killed in Syria
Death toll is approaching 100,000 (even conservaive estiamtes are around 70 thou). Pretty tragic for average Syrian -- Israel hospital just treated a few critical injuries in the Golan, I am sure that's only to harvest them for organs, huh :)

Rebels can't overthrow Assad without major weapons infusion -- which US/NATO won't provide what with being scared of al-Nusra types gettting their al-Qaeda paws on them.

So now Saudis & Qatari swine have to send their own (unimpressive) stocks. (More secular factions of) rebels are even saving up their anti-aircraft & RPG for some future all-out assault type situation because apparently they are afraid to be left holding the bag with no weapon or new ammo.

OTOH, even after 2 years of using truly BRUTAL tactics... with massive assisentence from Iran, Hezbollah & Russia of course.... Assad can't seem to squash the rebellion.

Lost 100's of tanks, APCs', IFV, artillery/mortar guns, some aircraft and even airbases + infrastructure..... All that would get EXPONENTIALLY worse if US/NATO finally decide to stop sending weapons on the scale that Russians do. Personally, I am not sure that's a good idea, but that's besides the point...

Syrian economomy was in BAD shape even before the 2-year uprising. They just don't have Iran's or Iraq's or even Lybia's oil to "paint over" the usual Muslim chaos & barbarity.....

Now Syria is just being articifically kept alive by Russian printing their currency and sending ton of aid. It's beyond unsustainable. Another 1-2 years of this and it's catastrophe.

Heck, even as is, Syria has only to look forward to being Balkanized or best Lebanonized. Lots of mutual genocidal ethnic-cleansign to look forward to.

Too bad. Shouldn't have messed with Texas ;)

Reading the usual GLP, uh, stuff... got me thinking:

what if the whole "Sauron/Saruman/Golum" plot in LOTR was just a particularly heinous, elaborate Zionist FALSE FLAG

What if Frodo, Ganfalf, Viggo Morsenten feller, et al are the REAL evil cabal behind the curtain!

Holy shit, we're all fucked, then!

Has the good General been avenged by Persian version of 'Mother of All Battles' yet?

Or at the very least, did Zionist open 'Gates of Heck' as they apparently did against Hamas last November?

Did Ayatollah Kruschev bang his shoe on the UN podium & promise to "bury" the Ebbyl Juices --- or show them "Kuz'kinu's Mother"?

You can always make more generals,(at least theirs go into hostile territory before any troops do) with a Rothschild bank running you you are fucked forever. Iceland ditched then and they are doing fine, not that it gets broadcast every day but at least they only had to rebuild the Government and the banks, easier than having to redo the whole society like the NATO nations will have to do.
