1) Noone is a "fan" of nevermind "cheerleading" Saudis. They are just as big a c*nts as Iranians, North Koreans, Bashar al-Assad's of this world. No, we want them to KILL EACH OTHER FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE, AND DESTROY THEIR ECONOMIES FOR GOOD. Then there will be true chance at peace.
2) The differnce is, the US has no choice but to cooperate with KSA, Qatar, UAE at this point in time. When Iran was under Shah, and Iranian women's skirts were shorter in Teheran than men's skirts were in Paris.... US and Iran were best buddies. Sorry, but Aytollah's changed all that. When Ayatollahs are overthrown, then we can talk cooperation again ---> and at some poin, maybe even dump Saudis when their oil runs out...
