See, Iran thought they were real wise-guys -- that just because they have Russia, China North Korea, Syria, Venezuela, Belorussia, Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, PRC... behind them, they could start mess with Texas. With Zionist Texas, that is.

So they had Hezbollah send that drone in October, 2012. The drone was supposed to be too small & quiet to be detected by IAF --> but sure enough, it was caught over the Med, and allowed to go as far as was harmless in order to detect just who sent it/was controlling it. Then it was promptly shut down.

Now, this was shorly before the election, and Iran must have known that Israel wouldn't respond and risk upsetting Obama during the election. Israel Defense Miniseter, a former Lefty Ehud Barak warned Iran that they are way out of line, but I am sure people in Teheran thought "hey, what's the worst this Labor polician could do? Send an indignant diplomatic cable to his daddy Obama? Lulz!"

Then

1) Both the IRGC-operated missile factory & massive weapons storage in Yarmouk, Sudan.... used to supply both Hamas & Hezbollah..... had an accident. A big one. Multi-billion dollar one. Oops.

2) Then Iranian first line of defense -- Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, PRC, PFLP -- got a week-long drubbing by the IDF in an impressive display of surgical precision. Virtually no losses for Israel, only 40 Gaza civilian human-shields killed in whopping 1600 bombing raids.... damage to Gaza terror infrastructure is in the billions. And now even Muslim Sisterhood President Morsi is flooding Gaza smuggling tunnels ----> so even if Hamas could rebuild, the cost of smuggling even simple rockets is going up 5 fold. 3 quietest months Southern Border has ever seen..

3) Hezbollah weapons storages are sponteneously combusting practically every other week these days.

4) Fordo -- boom.

5) Ishafan special allow plant -- boom.

6) Syrian weapons convoy + WMD research center = boom, boom, boom!

7) Now the good general has joining the expanding list of senior IRGC & Hezbollah commanders who didn't make it back from Syria.

8) Communication tower in Lebanon during IAF "mock raids" -- boom.

9) Now Hezbollah finds itself closest yet to beign put on European terror-list over Bulgaria bombing that they may or may not had anything to do with.... and it's not just a list, it would have HUGE legal/strategic implications for the Lebanese militia because it's officially part of the Lebanese government ----> Nasrallah sure is sweating it in his bunker....


And it's only just beginning. So was that little drone that started this escalation last October.... worth it?

Seems like mullahs in Teheran have forgotten who the BOSS is in the Middle East. But that's ok, reminders will only intensify from this point on.

So much for supposed Persian strategic smarts...
