Is Asteroid DA14 scheduled to crash land in less than 24 hours

Experts Say Make Sure your affairs are in order. BTW when this was filmed our 65M asteroid was only 150ft or 45M so it just keeps growing.

I would take precautions, regardless of what NASA says.

With his current know trajectory it won't impact cause of its speed

So why wouldn't the earths gravity cause the asteroid to change it's current angular velocity and if so what would the impact of these changes be? It will pass by the earth for several hours and if the angular velocity continues to change could the trajectory of the asteroid change so it is now earth facing ? Has anyone done the math ?

If so would we now have an asteroid traveling at high speed heading directly towards earth?

I'm not trying to troll here, but... many bodies have been destroyed in out atmosphere. If on a direct course, I'd be worried. I'm only just interested, now.
Unless this thing is moving slow and has a lot of mass, I doubt there's any direct threat. As far as throwing another object or two our way, I guess that could happen.. probably will cause a 'fireball' or two.

There was a thread on here i recall about 2 weeks back stating that it has been "confirmed" that it will hit on Feb 15th, what happened to that thread?

And let's say it does hit, shit will get interesting that's for sure.

I hardly have an understanding of advanced physics and don't have an effective means/drive to work it all out but my guess is the earth's gravity at most will pull the asteroid a few meters per second. At 14000km up, I can't see that being a worry.

But again, I know nothing.

I just watched this 4 different times. WTF? Experts are in a debate on it? Most believe it wont hit? Did they say most?? WTF? Then there is still that slim chance?? My God and people are in here saying Nothing will happen. Well simply put if there is a debate about it then there is a chance. And now with it being bigger?? Nope My kids are staying home tomorrow I think. Figuring they would be in school when it goes over. Oh heck no, I want my kids at home if something happens. When the Media says that experts say either way you need your affairs in order that is not a good sign.

The asteroid will be at its peak brightness at 11:24 a.m. PST/ 2:24 p.m. EST, meaning that it will still be daytime for viewers in the Americas. The best sky-watching locations will be in Australia and Asia, where 2012 DA14 will be visible shortly before dawn on Feb. 16, or from Europe and Africa, where the object will be seen in the late evening on the 15th.
